Why is floyd so overrated on these forums?

i thought the reason he isnt so active cause of hes brittle hands and the fact hes getting old?
'not the same as he once was' you mean this in a positive or negative way?I watched the Ortiz fight again on the weekend and I watched his fight against JMM a few weeks after Pac had struggled with him and I thought the exact opposite of what you just wrote.
He's been panned on NSB since I have been on here as a fraud, a joke etc when in reality he's beating these guys with no real effort. Mosley had 1 good round and then got drilled. JMM just got drilled and Ortiz was getting handled easily by the 4th and it would have carried on the same way. Mayweather is not the same as he once was but he's still ahead of the pack in his division IMO
also he seems to come forward a lot more(its prob a strat he used for these fighters) but what do you guys think of it? is it better than hes old ways?
i kinda wished he stayed as a super lightweight. there doesnt seem to be any challenges at welterweight for him, at least the super lightweight division is stacked atmLast edited by no_frame; 01-17-2012, 05:34 AM.Comment

And Pacquiao would do no better and have no more of a chance than those other 43 B+ fighters. He will get dominated and become another has been just like every other hyped up Floyd opponent.Comment

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!..Floyd DESTROYED Ortiz..Ortiz was running and Floyd was shapr as hell man...he threw them combinations and basically beat the crap out of the kid for 4 rnds...Ortiz weighed 164lbs, and was 10 yrs younger, and Floyd STILL walked him down at 34 yrs old man Im sorry but ur wrong on that one..LOL...As far as Mosley...Look what happened after Mosley hit him...Floyd fought the same Mosley that beat the crap out of margarito....when He got hit, he started chasing him...his team told him to go back to boxing, and he lied "Okay" and continued fighting toe to toe...Im sorry man, but Floyd aint overrated...I never seen a creature like him in my life...his whole attitude, and the toughness he carries himself with in the ring...his pride makes him go above and beyond and walks these lions down like its nothing...If he retires undefeated, he will go down as the best of all time....Ali was great SRL was great, but Floyd is the first perfect fighter....those fighters got his allot in their career...SRL Got hit by Duran a MILLION times(LMAO)...Floyd is just all around perfect, mentally tough, and physically durable...I love the guy!Lets face it he almost gets knocked out by mosley, brings marquez up 2 weight classes to fight him and then looked like **** against ortiz. (stunned quite a few times in the fight and could probably have won if it wasnt for the fluke ko.)
A lot of people on this site need to get off his **** and stop overrating him, because he aint all that.Comment

Pacman also got knocked down by mosley and Mosley was supershot...Floyd got caught by the same Mosley who beat the dogcrap out of MargaritoAlmost got KO'ed agaisnt Mosley? but never even went down. While Floyd "almost" got KO'ed against the Hall of Famer and #1 WW Shane Mosley, Pacquaio got KO'ed by unknowns Rustico Torrecampo and Something Singsurat.
Stunned by Ortiz? Lol.
This wasn't even remotely a good argument.Comment

Positive and negative i suppose. His legs and movement will never be the same as when he was in his 20's, that is just a fact of life unless you are rejuvenating your hormones and body tissue, but even still, i doubt you can turn the clock backi thought the reason he isnt so active cause of hes brittle hands and the fact hes getting old?

I prefer his style of fighting in recent times, he's coming right at you, chasing you and being the aggressor. He's made changes to suit his body and it's working damn well.Comment
