Pac fought morales and LOST...And he only beat him, when he came off a mismatch loss to zahir..LOL...pac fought hatton when he was washed up and damaged...we all know that...LOL...pac fought barrera...yea yea...he fought cotto which I gave him credit for, but he only fought him cuz FREDDIE said cotto wasnt the same anymore, and they would not have fought him if he was in his prime...Pac fought JMM, And struggled everytime(talk about guys pac fought at there best, and beat at there best bro....ur losing the debate)...and again, ur talking about the odds...what do the odds have to do with them being bums?...he was underdog most time, because of his SIZE disadvantage only...and u say Floyd fought contenders who shouldnt have been in the ring with him..boy NO ONE should be in the ring with him cuz he's gonna make ANYONE look foolish(this is what makes him amazing...this is what makes his legacy...get my point?), Boy EVERYONE Pac fought shouldnt have been in the ring with him cuz they were washed up...most of his fights shouldnt have even happened....he shouldnt have even fought clottey...he shouldnt have even fought Mosley at all...all of these were money fights, not legacy fights bro...these were fights meant to help the "guild of pacman"..he shouldnt have even fought Marquez, cuz marquez was old as hell and coming off a one yr layoff...I thought marquez was gonna get KO'd so bad he was gonna die in the hospital the nxt day..Pac had no punching power in that fight...and u say Pac's accomplishments where decided by the media?...thats cuz the media was biased and letting him get away with ruining boxing by robbing the fans blind with his back to back trash fights....everyone so nice and merciful on pacman cuz he is nice stand up guy....but the guy is everything thats wrong with the sport...stealing ppv money with these trash azz fights...he will have either a bumfight, or a badfight...clottey, mosley=bad fights that hurt boxing...the rest of his fights where bumfights that WHERE entertaining, but did nothing for his legacy...like I said before, Pac's legacy comes from CLIMBING WEIGHT CLASSES which was amazing...but nothing else....Floyd is doing what no fighter in HISTORY has ever done....remained unbeaten, un scratched, while fighting top guys and making it look easy...NO fighter has ever made it look that easy and remained unbeaten in the process...Floyd is special...he's a child prodigy...I hate to sound like a ***ryder, but honmestly as a boxing fan, I feel blessed to live in this era just to WITNESS Mayweather...My grandkids will NEVER see anything this special and u have to get with the program and stop trying to discredit him just cuz u think he's brash, guady azzhole

That's a ton of excuses right there.. Were those even discussed when the fight was made.. Because I certainly didnt hear those bull**** before the fight.. In fact, the boxing fans were elated those fights were made simply because they were great fights.. But I will give you this

Castillo - people said he lost
Corales - dehydrated
Hernandez - over the hill
Mosley - inactive for 16 months, coming from 2 bad performance before Marg
Gotti - over the hill
Oscar- coming out of 1 year retirement, and had one fight against a human punching bag in Mayorga
Judah-coming of a loss against a bum
Baldomir - a bum
Hatton - was forced to move to higher weight class
JMM- was forced to move to 3 weigtht class, and was cheated on the scales


Its easy to criticize a fighter's resume in hindsight, if you have an agenda. That's why the only way to judge is what people think about the fight when it was made...

And yes, the boxing media who covered the sport in years are biased except you who recently got an account to join because you were so happy to discuss how Floyd svcker punch Ortiz on his way to KO win...

Im a huge mayweather fan
but i couldn't help but notice in the
Mosley, Gatti and Ortiz fights, he gets quick sucker punches in as soon as the ref breaks them up, or when the ref is talking to the oppenet.

Thats been how he fought througout his entire career. It's not just those fights, it's EVERY fight. Notice he also NEVER COMPLAINS if it happens to him, and I've seen it happen to him plenty of times. He also never complained about Vics headbutts until he through the blaitant one, etc.

His mindset when the bell rings is to fight, and protect yourself at all times. He does everything within the rules, as the referee says to fight on the break etc.

I'm not afloyd fan, but dude is just too smart for most of the fighters too. All respect for your opponent has to go out the window when the bell rings. Glove touching, smiling, not taking advantage of legal opportunities, all of that is a joke to me.The dude knows how to win.

Completely agree, I wasn't thrilled with how the Mayweather vs Ortiz fight ended, but I'll take Floyd being ruthless and unforgiving over that loves fest horse s**t that Mosley and Pac produced any day of the week.

I've never seen that. I have seen Pacquiao get knocked out on more than one occasion, but I've never seen Mayweather nearly knocked out. Come to think of it, I've never even seen him knocked down.



Yes, and even though Pacquiao had three opportunities, including one where Marquez was 38, he never came close to beating Marquez as convincingly as Mayweather did. In fact, many believe Pacquiao lost a couple of these fights, including the one where Marquez was 38.

Sure, but Pac also fought JMM at his best weight and for the lineal title.. He won that fight even though it was close... And it was a straight out fight.. no concessions, fighters are in their prime, and a fight that the boxing fans approved when it was made....That's the difference...
