yes, you are right that the best way to compute the avearge ticket price is by dividing the total gross by the nuber of tickets sold....the probelm with that is that you dont know the TOTAL GROSS...thus, why you used a different numbesr instaed of the numbers given by the ts...

now, i dare you to use the same numbers as i did ( as did the ts) and see if your way of com*****g the average is possible....id love to see it...
Total gross was provided by Arum which was 40 mill. So 40 mill divided by 25K additional seats = $1600 per seat. Who is going to pay $1600 for the worst seats in the stadium?

        Oh my lord puga.

Certain seats are more expensive due to limited space. There's a lot less tickets for the highest cost than there is for the lowest cost. Your calculation disregards this and put every cost alternative as the same likelihood.

I really tried here puga. I like you, i think you're a nice guy. You're really naive but you're not unpleasant like many other nuthuggers are.
But yeah, i don't think I'm going to be able to convince you of anything so it's pretty much a waste of my time.

Try to keep an open mind though, as you have nothing to gain by being ****** just to fit in.
If Pac does wrong, and you feel it's wrong, don't be afraid to say so. Don't let yourself down first and foremost.

If this however is actually what you truly believe and feel is right, then i guess we're gonna have to agree to disagree.

Since we know that the additional seats cannot cost more than that because their location would be worse we can operate on the assumption that the max marginal revenue for every additional seat sold would be $150. Multiply that by 25K and you would have a good estimate which comes out to 3.7 mill. To make up for the rest of the 40 mill each of the 25K additional people would have to spend on average $1,400 at the concessions. This doesn't even take into account th cost of building and operating the stadium.
hey dumn dumb...i already said i get that...but unless you can tell me the number seats per ticket price then there's no telling the exact numbers...for the millionth time, my computation was based on AVERAGE ticket price...dumbass!

              youre being repetitive man...

ok, here ...let me just ask you a simple thing (concerning what you said)

you said the right way to get the average ticket price is by diving the total gross by the number of tickets sold (and i agree IF you know the total gross)..

now, all im asking you is ,do the computation (the one that you said is right) to get the average ticket price...using the given NUMBERS by the TS..simple right?...lets see

your solution was this: total gross / number of ticket sales = average ticket price...now, show me using the numbers given by the ts....

You don't know the exact ticket price but we do know the max ticket price for each additional seat is $150. So the max revenue for 25K additional seats is 3.7 mill. My gues is that they won't be able to sell 25K additional seats at $150 eac

Puga is officially my favourite poster of all-time.

You just can't make this stuff up.

2000+1500+1000+ 750+350+150= 5750/ 6(the number of ticket prices) = $958. 33 is ****** because it will exaggerate the average you would need to calculate the total tickets gross/number of tickets sold

and 30,000 extra seat x 1000 = 30 million would imply that X number of extra seats can be multiplied with the ******ed average you came up with and it will = the total gate the fight will generate

and your estimation would still be waaay off because all of the extra tickets will cost significantly less then the average ticket price anyway
