What I find fascinating and pathetic is the seeming impervious nature of the obsessed Pacquiao fan's logic to reality. The Arum house of cards has been tumbling down for the last few days and all they can do is go to the Mayweather is jealous, he's a ducker, or he's afraid toolbox. Is that all you got really?!? They aren't very intellectually nimble when reality begins to shift right under their unsteady feet, they have to resort to default attacks, shallow observations, and conclusions that a two year old would find laughable. Such is the desolate and intellectually dishonest world of a group of folks that are so desperate to escape what's happening right in front of them that they'd do just about anything short of opening their eyes.

The Date is a non Issue. As far as all promoters are concerned it is a great day for a boxing match. They don't want to fight on that day because they don't want to fight on any day.

Mayweather is his own promoter, so he would give himself his guarantee. What is Arum talking about?? Arum doesn't need someone to guarantee his cut, so neither does Floyd. And since Arum has already stated that the fight doesn't have to be in a special 40,000 seat arena, but could be at the MGM...why does the fight have to be in late May? Just fight on May 5th already. Top Rank continues to move the goal post.

Floyd needs someone willing to risk a substantial amount of money on him in return for profits from the pay per view that covers their initial investment and more.

It depends entirely on how much floyd is demanding as a guarantee.

Didn't the judge give Mayweather an extension on his jail sentence because he had an "obligation" to fight on May 5. So if Mayweather never set the date and venue to fight in May 5 he would of gone to jail. I know Pacquiao wants to fight later in May, but is wrong with May 5. I would understand if he had already a date set, but since he doesn't do it on May 5. I see this as a ploy to not make the fight. They want to change the date that is ok, but they also want to change the arena which is not ok. Because Floyd is "obligated" to fight in that arena, and if he doesn't believe me their will be a huge lawsuit against him. Which neither Pacquiao nor Bob Arum will be willing to pay. So my queistion again, why not make the fight on May 5?

This is boxing not a personality contest. Many of the all time greats lived questionable personal lives so please keep that nonsense out of the boxing talk. Oh yeah, Bob and Manny are ducking Floyd and its as clear as day. Manny suffered a broken ear drum against Cotto and was in the ring against Clottey just 5 months later. Yet somehow he needs 7 months to recover from a cut? Come on now.
