What I find fascinating and pathetic is the seeming impervious nature of the obsessed Pacquiao fan's logic to reality. The Arum house of cards has been tumbling down for the last few days and all they can do is go to the Mayweather is jealous, he's a ducker, or he's afraid toolbox. Is that all you got really?!? They aren't very intellectually nimble when reality begins to shift right under their unsteady feet, they have to resort to default attacks, shallow observations, and conclusions that a two year old would find laughable. Such is the desolate and intellectually dishonest world of a group of folks that are so desperate to escape what's happening right in front of them that they'd do just about anything short of opening their eyes.

Agreed. Great post. But you have to know what you are dealing with. To these people, Manny is life. To a normal person, it's just sports and boxing. It is extreme rationalization. I used to let it anger me, but you have to consider the alternative for them. Life is hard, everyone needs something to believe in.

Fights are made via Twitter when the conventional route hasn't worked. This is a tactic to get Arum, Pacquiao's brain, to legitimately negotiate for the fight. I'm sorry but given the level of obstruction from Bob Arum and the dullards that believe him simply contacting Top Rank would be futile, Floyd knows this so does Al Haymon and anyone with a brain connected to making this fight happen.

You make it sound like all Floyd has to do is tell Golden Boy he wants the fight and Bob Arum will magically become responsive, that's an incredibly naive assumption, especially as it relates to people that know the fight game so well and that deal with Arum on the regular

Twitter is where you humiliate an opponent whose promoter has other plans in mind, Twitter is such a well established social network that it becomes a great place to show everyone who doesn't want to fight you. Look at all of the buzz it's created yo, it worked beyond their wildest dreams.

the problem is arum and pacquiao. we always had a big fight on cinco de mayo. thats why mayweather reserved it. i'm tired of arums excuses. cuts,erecting a new stadium. changing dates.talking **** thinking mayweather was going to jail.and now back peddling when the judge threw a monkey wrench into the fold.
