I know Cotto and Floyd stans are trying so hard to make it a legit fight if they both go at it. I've said I would like to see Cotto and Floyd cause of the clash of styles. I'm just debating on the fantasy Cotto's fanatics have that Cotto is boxing's 3rd biggest draw. Which is a load of crap.

I have to head out for a bit. If I remember, I'll come back and school you for some laughs.

The only reason you can't say that Cotto is 100% the 3rd biggest draw in boxing is because he's not an international icon like Pac, May, and maybe the Klitschkos. Other than them, I'd say he's clearly the biggest draw in boxing. More than Marquez, Martinez, Hopkins, Ward, the list goes on.

Cotto can draw on the west coast as his bull**** fight with Mayorga proved.

Marquez has sold more PPVs than Cotto.

Also, against their only common opponent, Marquez sold more.

Well of course he sold more then the common opponent in Pacquiao due to the series of fights they had together. Also Marquez has the advantage over Cotto on some things.Cotto doesnt get offered Azteca Money like Marquez even if its not shown that night in the United States. And it helps out Marquez alot in buliding his next fights like the one he did against Likar Ramos before the Pacquiao Trilogy.Cotto/Mayorga's numbers beat Marquez/Ramos numbers if they were staged the same night.Marquez has gotten 3 chances against Pacquiao and a fight with Mayweather, the 2 biggest international PPV stars. And quite frankly an undeserving one against Mayweather which shouldnt of taken place to begin with. But we all know the floyd tune up route.Cotto hasnt had trilogies or has never crossed fingers on landing a mega pay day aginst Floyd.Cotto VS Floyd, with Canelo on the undercard would SHATTER Marquez's numbers.Common logic says it all on the undercard as well.Arum really hasnt been that typical promoter to help Cotto on his undercards. This past year against Margarito was just about the best its gotten. Why?because arum was forced to sell it out due to the Mares/Agbeko fight being staged the same night.Marquez has sold more PPVS but not really meaning he's a top 3.I consider him a top 4th,once his major fights are over i can see a decline in numbers.Like it happens with alot of boxers. Then of course comes the stepping stone era which still produce decent numbers just not as high volume.

I've been away from the forums until recently. Was the marquez vs. Pac number ever confirmed?
