I'd like to see him fight Floyd if the Pac fight falls through. If not him, Canelo would be pretty good.

The boxing game has changed. While we all clamor to see the best fight the best and watch promoters hold on to their fighters as though they were hostages. We miss out on good fights regardless of anyone's opinion of the fighters.

What Hopkins, De La Hoya and Mayweather learned along the way was how to put a bigger chunk of that green into their own pockets and rightfully so. They are the ones taking the meaningful risks.

Win loose or draw Miguel Cotto brings it to each and everyone of his fights and has earned whats coming to him. The big dance and the big bucks. Does he beat this guy or loose to that one ? He's prideful and he brings it. Good enough for me !!!
You are right if you bring the money aspect into it.

Let me give you an example so my puerto rican friends don't think I'm just pro Mexican.

When Marquez was set to fight Pac, I said it was a BS fight and didn't want to see it because I didn't want to see Marquez get knocked out. Not only was I wrong about Marquez but at the same time I was happy he was getting a big payday.

IF Cotto made the fight with Pac or Mayweather, good for him money wise. As a fan I don't want to see it even though anything can happen.

When Pac's people come up with the good excuse not to fight Floyd. I think Cotto should fight Floyd.

He tried bullying pacquiao, and got caught. Pac can be outboxed, as thats the style that can beat him, but cotto tried playing the bully. Cotto's a better boxer now than when he was against pac.

Not to mention, if cottos last fight was any indication, his right hand is back, and would be huge against a southpaw manny.

I dont see cotto outbozing mayweather, but i can see him wearing mayweather down, with constant smart pressure, and a sustained body attack. Cottos jab would be huge aswell. He's way more of a credible opponent than robert ***n guerrero at this point.
Cotto is gone Bra. Margarita beat the **** out of him!

Cotto has sold more tickets in the most famous arena in America... I'd say he is worth a shot at Floyd and will make big bucks. He is only 3rd to Floyd and Pac as far a popularity.

I'm not saying he shouldn't fight Floyd. What I'm arguing about is that HE IS NOT AN ELITE SUPERSTAR.

Popularity where? Here in the states? I don't think so unless you're counting the eastern states.

He is the 3rd biggest draw in boxing though, impressive however u slice it...

Anyway id like a Pacquaio rematch, a chance to avenge his only other defeat and gain elite p4p status
Its winnable if the weight is fair and the gameplan is solid and i think it would be this time, he knows he cant trade with Pac and he seems to want to box more now

Other than that - Saul Alvarez. Saul is a quality fighter and a rival JMW Champion, he brings credibility, an undefeated record, a belt and huge PPV numbers, the fact that he is Mexican and has that win over Cotto's brother would also all help sell it. Make this fight
