Why do you want Makavilla to fight a lil Money (a blown-up 130 lber)...Why doesn't Makavilla pick on someone his own size like the Son of God...yeah I know because he wouldn't have NO physical advantages over his opponent.

The only reason why Makavilla would beat Money is because of his size....skillwise, Money would embarrass him.

I remember Merchant saying Canelo was a fighter that could possibly beat Pacquiao. He's way off on his evaluation of Canelo's talent. Guerrero is the more competitive fight against Floyd!
You're 100% right in saying that Alvarez is too young and too green to face Mayweather; however, the fact that he's very strong and a lot heavier than Mayweather makes him a lot more dangerous than Guerrero, who's only fought twice at lightweight (two categories below welterweight). I'm not gonna say that Alvarez is a lot better than Guerrero, or vice versa, just that the strength and size are big, big factors in fighting.

I would be very surprised if Guerrero got the fight.
It will be either Canelo Alvarez or Miguel Cotto.

Guerrero got in the mix by being both Mexican and pound for pound the loudest guy on the internet. He'd be a terrible, extremely undeserving opponent and I hope he doesn't get the fight.

I'm on board with Cotto. Maybe next year for Alvarez, although I wouldn't have a problem with it now.

I can't imagine this fight possibly being made. It makes no sense.

So, who should Mayweather fight then ?

I agree with the general consensus regarding Guerrero.

I like Robert, and I rate him, but not untested at 147 vs Mayweather.

I like Canelo, but he is not ready for a fight of that magnitude either, not against a hardened vet with the skills of Mayweather.

Is Cotto the only fighter between 147-154 that could genuinely be seen as both "deserving" and "ready"?

And the only guy who could realistically jump up from 140 is Bradley.

Personally, I have always wanted Mayweather/Martinez, but I cant see that fight happening to be honest.

I dunno, I give up, as far as I can see the best option (fight-wise).....
                  1.) Martinez - unlikely
2.) Cotto - has a name, is a draw, and has top level experience
3.) Bradley - is an option, but not a big money fight

I see May 5th as not much more than a stay-busy fight anyways.

I would like to see Mayweather fight the old Cotto, the undamaged one, the one who was unable to conceive losing.

Not necessarily arguing with ya, just saying that result is not a given buddy.

I see Martinez giving Mayweather HUGE problems with his speed/style/size.

I would back Mayweather, but I would not be putting my house on it.

It would be fkn epic, I would p1ss myself with joy if that fight got made.
