It's so obvious that he's in the mix because he's Mexican and a Golden Boy fighter. Just like Saul Alvarez. Nevermind that Guerrero has only fought once at lightweight, two categories below welterweight, and Alvarez is only 21 years old, a baby in boxing terms really. It really is shameful how this guy just looks at fighting as a simple business transaction. Foolish are the people who buy his fights. But then again, people are starting to catch on to his nonsense, as he only did about 800k in PPV buys in his last fight. Well below what he did last time.

Robert should be in the discussion for Marquez or Rios.

      Not Floyd.

i doubt guerrero is in the mix for anything atm, gbp probably just contacted him if he'd be willing to fight floyd... like they have several of their fighters already. and the answer was a 'shocking' yes....

Well Mayweather team never mentioned Guerrero. It was Schafer who did. And, Schafer of course has his own agenda. And, doing his job as a promoter to get his fighters the best possible fights. Guerrero is his fighter, just like Canelo. So it's the names he threw out there. Doesn't mean that team Mayweather is seriously looking at them.

However, I do believe Floyd might fight Canelo. But, it's not a guarantee it can be Cotto too.

I don't understand it. Not like Guerrero is a big star at 135 or something. I understand Golden Boy would love to make him a star with a Floyd fight, but you want to give the kid a beating in the process?

guerrero doesn't have much star potential imo. and floyd has already fought a blown up lightweight before and we know the result: a shutout.
i think cotto and canelo are going to be considered. martinez already has a fight scheduled now...

I would love for it to be Cotto. That's the only way I would buy it. BTW, Cotto is a free agent now. Been a free agent since 1/1/2012, I think.
