    Good post.

I'm one of the ones that said it is too late. Not because I feel Cotto is shot, just because the demand or hype isn't there like it was a few years ago.

Eh, a bit of credit. Cotto would be the heavy underdog in the fight. Both are past there best, though and I'd welcome the fight.

That said, Cotto would lose to Floyd at 140, 147, and 154 in 2007, 2009 or 2012.

floyd ud. decent credit considering he bested his personal joker cheato but manny fought a younger cotto but with the asterix of an unnecessary catchweight. weighing it all and all manny will still hold the better win over cotto.

He's fought NO ONE since Pacquiao killed him. There's no way you can compare the Pacquiao win over Cotto to Floyd doing the same more than two years later, when you look at Cotto's competition and performance since. He didn't exactly look great except against Margarito. He looked shockingly vulnerable against Mayorga.

Legit at 154? Based on what? He only fought Yuri Foreman.

How can you not give floyd credit for facing Miguel Cotto in essentially a stay busy fight before he goes to jail beacuse manny don't want it?

0 credit. I won't order the fight either. Floyd will win by UD.

Pacquiao-Peterson is a more legitimate fight than this.

                    It's clearly Pacquiao.

I hate this fight. I'd hate an Alvarez or Guerrero fight too. I'd rather he fought anyone else at 154 than Cotto or Alvarez, and I'd rather he fought no one at all than Guerrero. The only guys at 147 or below that I wouldn't mind seeing Floyd fight are Top Rank, so they won't be an option.

It's fine for what it is, I guess, but Floyd's far past the point where a fight like this is exciting or something to look forward too unless you are a fan. He'll show up and outclass Cotto in every way, it is what it is.
