He doesn't need a promoter really, he is notable enough to do it himself.

I already brought up the numbers for Marquez-Diaz 2 with links.

Marquez-Diaz 2 in Vegas did 150-200k buys and had 8,383 people in attendence.

Cotto-Mayorga, a much less legitamite fight, did over 200k buys and had 7,272 people in attendence. This was also in Vegas where Cotto was far from where most of his fans are in America.

This is plainly indicative of the difference in their drawing power.

        Fantastic owned once again

well if floyd fights cotto it should be @ 154, in that case it would still be a good fight, although in that case why not sergio?
more realistically it would be canelo or kirkland, maybe ortiz if he beats berto again.

            ^^^
Cotto is a good fighter with only one legit loss. He convincingly showed the boxing world what he is made of with the TKO on Margarito.

He has decent speed and above average power in his punches. His style will give floyd problems.

I agree that this fight could have been an epic match two or three years ago, but to say it is no longer an exciting fight at this time is simply gibberish talk.

Who gives a shlt? Who could do better then Cotto right now other then Floyd or Manny? NOBODY. Cotto fought Mayorga of all people and did numbers, that should ring a bell in your head. Manny's got the numbers only because 90% of his buys are filipino. Real boxing fans are starting to catch on with his garbage selections of fighters of recent but he still got that filipino card. Floyd is at the top fairly easy because he is just that good and everyone wants to see him put on a boxing performance. The Klitschko's can not sell in the US period. Cotto is an easy 3rd.

Only the Cotto haters say that. Clearly no real boxing fan would. Cotto's got alota mexican haters right now due to his beatdown of Margarita.

PR IS part of the US and PPVs bought from there count. Cotto isn't the star you guys make him out to be.

Undefeated Quintana, Judah, Mosley, and Clottey.........who has Floyd beaten at Welterweight that's better than any of them individually? Ortiz? Meh. Hatton ABSOLUTELY not.
Margarito beat him into submission, Cotto couldn't take it anymore. I don't know another way I can describe it.

And, are we going to ignore that Floyd fought Judah before? We going to say Hatton Absolutely not, Ortiz meh. But, mention Judah, Clottey, and even Quintana as good wins for Cotto?

Nah....Floyd has a better resume at WW IMO.
