They better keep Cotto far, far away from Chavez. Canelo, yeah. Floyd even, but Chavez murders Cotto who is already a small jr middleweight & Chavez cannot make it.

Cotto first needs to understand that he outgrew 147 a long time ago, he may think he can make 47 still but I think his body is saying otherwise.. he's been at 54 for a while now and he was gassing out late against marg, the extra weight has been helping cotto in the stmina department, I could see even ortiz giving cotto trouble at 47 so getting in there with someone with the amount of stamina as floyd jr wouldn't be wise imo... he can make a lot of money but will take another L, he has a better chance of beating Pac because its clear that pac hasn't been juicing for his past 2 fights, imo its either that or wear and tear has caught up with him but pacquiao ain't the same fighter from 09 that cotto fought..

I still think Bob will be a big influence though and will push for Chavez, a fight i dont like...
Martinez or Pacquiao will be too good for Cotto.

Ditch Top Rank Cotto. Arums never had Cottos best interest at heart. Top Rank and the WBO railroaded him last time during the negoiations. Tell Slob Arum to kick rocks.

Cotto is not the same either. Much worse. Marg was going to get him in the last fight if they hadn't stopped it. Cotto was shot after 9 rounds.

                What!?!?!
Marg wasn't gonna do sh__ but have his eye hanging out of it's socket. I wasn't impressed w/ Cotto's performance in that fight, but clearly he outboxed Marg, just like the first fight; and that shows you what caliber of fighter Cheato is, "junk". Yeah he's junky, good chin, little skill.

IMHO Cotto needs to go back to 147 (he's a little dude), and f**k that catch-weight bs; and he needs a better conditioning coach b/c he has been looking gassed lately.

I think him and Maynever would be a good fight because Floyd is not a busy fighter, and that would give Cotto a chance to work, it would be a toss up. Canelo and chavez jr. are too big, I don't like either of those fights.

I actually can't believe people are still going on about this. Cotto fought a very smart fight against Margarito and would've won by a landslide decision had the fight not been stopped. Margarito was ineffective offensively and there was nothing to suggest that he'd come on stronger in the last 3 rounds.

It's just mainly bitter fans who can't take a loss that claim otherwise.

Perhaps...Both worth the risk though if the weight is right imo

Didnt actually mention them though, i said Alvarez who brings star appeal, a big following, an undefeated record, credibilty, a title and is Mexican to boot which all helps sell the match

It makes sense for both guys and the styles should gel well together

he can beat any of those guys except pacquiao

call me crazy but if a fight against martinez would materialize at a contracted weight of 154 cotto can beat him. martinez has outgrown 154 despite reports of him walking around at 158
