if we were to get a nelo or chavez fight before a martinez fight i would be pretty disappointed. I'd watch, but I'd be disappointed no less.

lol maybe if the WBC had a made up "Super Champ" like the WBA they could also allow their top fighters avoid mandatories without controversies just like the WBA did with Cotto.
AFter winning title, the WBA made Cotto the SUper champ probably just to avoid mandatories
, and then had Trout become the "regular Champ".

The beauty of all this discussion is Cotto's continued willingness to fight whomever whenever; he personifies Warrior! Fight Money May, Pac or Sergio. He deserves mega fights only! It is wholly irrelevant and insignificant if he loses to each! IMO, the remaining bunch has not earned the right to be pitted against an ATG such as Cotto!!!

while, normally i would prefer a fight with martinez, gaining the green belt might goad floyd into a fight. floyd loves that ****ing green belt for some reason.

A fight against Canelo in Madison Square Garden is the best option right now for Cotto. I would have him as a slight favorite in that fight.

If Mayweather wants him for a tuneup once he gets out of prison that is of course a big money option for Miguel as well.

There's also a rematch with Pac but the public doesn't want that and the PPV will bomb.

Thats good news for Cotto to do the same thing that Mayweather is doing he can work with any promotor and can fight who ever he wants Pacman needs to do the same thing Top Rank is running out of fighters for Pac and Cotto.

i think cotto deserves a fight with floyd,,, plus it makes sense $$$

floyd will then go on to say how he fought a better cotto at 154 and how he fights then at the RIGHT weight class

IMO i can see this fight happinin cotto deserves a good pay-day
