    Do what?
Not sure what "Do what" is for and...not sure what "look how he came out of it mentally" means either. He had a tough fight with Tarver where he took more punches than any other in his entire career and gave him an immediate rematch. Was promptly knocked out and returned to the ring four months later against the other champ in the division. Lost again, took 14 months off, and with no tune-up stepped in against the winner of the Tarver-Johnson wars. I don't think he lost his fighting spirit and I can't think of too many fighters today that would even dare do that without waiting some years or whatever. Perhaps you're looking at the way he fought and assuming he lost it mentally. Well my dear friend, he was 35+ years old. Roy Jones didn't throw a lot of punches at light heavyweight to begin with - I believe under 35 punches per round is what they mentioned when he fought Ruiz. So Roy Jones was always gun-shy. What you saw later was a man who could no longer pull the trigger either.

I gave Jone a B- because as much as i love his style his list of opposition that he ducked is stellar to say the least .
      He ducked .
Michalczewski WBA WBO IBF Ring Magazine Linear Lt Heavyweight Champion.

Graciano Rochigiani WBC Lt Heavyweight Champion

      Michael Nunn

      Gerald McClellan

      Nigel Benn

      Chris Eubank

      Steve Collins

Michalczewski should never be same sentence as Jones yet it was Dariusz Michalczewski who was the actually Linear and Ring Magazine Champion from 1997-2003. All those belts Jones at Lt Heavy were paper belts that were stripped from Rochigiani and Michalczewsk.
Fact is Jones was never the true linear champion in any weight class because he ducked so many .

When was Roy supposed to fight Eubank Nunn or McClellan? By the time Roy was established those guys were past their prime.

LOL and you as you bytch about him "ducking" Benn Collins and Dariusz you are probable the idiot yelling the loudest calling Julio Cesar Gonzalez(beat Dariusz), Reggie Johnson(beat Collins) and Thulani Malinga(beat Benn) bums.

Jones was never the Linear champ at 175 ...that was Dariusz not jones thats a fact... jones ducked Dariusz the linear champ at 175 and even went of the record on uk tv saying he wouldn't fight the Tiger in Germany for 3 million pounds sterling .
What i am saying is there was some great match up and even better opponents at 168 and 175 that Jones faced .
There was Nunn he ducked .
168 WBC CHAMP Nigel Benn beat Mclellan his mate yet jones never fought Benn,Collins was 168 WBO CHAMP that went out of his way to call out jones yet he dint want no part of the hard Irishman .
When Dariusz Michalczewski was unbeaten and in his prime and the Linear 175 champ ..jones refused to make these matches when all the said named guys was the main guys in these weight classes he fought in.

Dariusz Collins and Benn were viable opponents and those fights never happened, you can keep pretending that was all Roy's fault I don't care. Give Roy the credit he deserves for beating Gonzalez, Johnson and Malinga.

Also Eubank, McClellan and Nunn were NEVER realistic opponents for Roy stop pretending they were

Nunn was just a weird case. He was the mando twice for close to three years total. Roy way underbid him once (I believe Nunn tried waiting for a purse bid which was smart) and I read an interview once where he said, paraphrasing, that Nunn would get up for him, hand't gotten up much for years, and why should Roy have to be the only one to face a good Nunn. Of all the ducks Roy is accused of, mostly unfairly, Nunn is probably the one with the most substance and one of the least consequential. Odd.

Don't you know that P4P #1 fighter in the world gets to call the shots? DM had to come see Roy and it was known that Roy wasn't fighting overseas at the time. Dariusz and Calzaghe clearly ducked Roy. It's so blatant that Calzaghe even admitted it. Dm would not even consider it, he knew he would get blown out.
