who do you think would win? i think chavez' size on fight night and slight improvements might be too much for cotto, imo he's sort of small at 154 already. how about cotto/alvarez, to me that's a great fight for both guys. biggest $$ fight at 154 for cotto and a great name for alvarez.
Like cotto who is champ at 154 and supposed to be #1 and hast fought one top jr middle weight. Bundrage trouth alot of the thai champs who fight bum after bum or how about solis and other small tittle holders. And chavez size might be to much for jotto but i could also see jotto outbox the sht out of chavez alot of factors that come into play which make it and interesting fight. Alvarez needs to prove himself first against a fellow top fighter dont think he is ready for cotto maybe a vanes a molina a brundrage.

well, he's only had three fights at 154. one was getting the belt, the other was a tuneup i guess cause he did take quite some time off and then the 3rd was a revenge match with margs (no one can say they didn't want to see that fight).
i agree with you though, for 154 being as stacked at it is, lots of the top guys haven't fought each other yet. kikland/angulo, lara/molina, and wolak/rodriguez have been the only ones and what great fights they were. 154 is my favorite division, hopefully the champs fight the top contenders in 2012.

Wolakrodriguez and molina are not elites they will become the gate keepers Kirland will show it. The number one at 154 is either kirland or lara. That would be a great fight that is possible to make.

Nah man, I've watch his other fights and Cotto does eveything better than Kirkland dont let that one good win fool you. Best is either Cotto or Lara IMHO.

Bro i am 100 percent sure kirland beats cotto. Cotto looked pretty good against margs but kirland aint no shot margs. Dude will put way to much pressure which is one of cotto weakness but he wont go in there with no defence like margs and will throw bombs at him all night from round 1 to 12 to much for the smaller cotto who is nearing the end of his career.
But cotto hasnt done anything at 154 but beat one of the weakest title holders

To my knowledge Yuri had two legs going into the bout. He's been wearing that knee wrap even before the Cotto fight with his leg being ok during the fight. Cotto was beating him up regardless. Wasnt Yuri Foreman the same guy that was supposed to bash Cotto's head in for 12 rounds and send him off into retirement? Wasnt Yuri Foreman the same guy that Manny Pacquaio tried to avoid, claiming Yuri was 'To tall' but then went on to fight Margarita who is the same height as Yuri? People weren't saying how one legged and overrated Yuri is when he was undefeated. We can all say how Yuri isn't that great of a fighter after the fact that he's been beatin. Give Cotto his credit for that fight because even if Yuri's knee didn't give out Cotto would have outboxed him regardless.

Canelo, he's just a paper champ who was givin the belt. There was a round in the Cintron fight were Cintron had Canelo on a thin ice which is embarressing because Cintron looked like an amateur boxer with zero power. I hope Cotto does fight Canelo next and when Canelo gets KO'd like he would, we can see what the haters are gonna say, which would probably be something like 'Canelo was to young and hadn't fought a legit fighter yet'.

If Cotto fought Kirkland and KO'd him which I think he would also, the haters will say that 'Kirkland is overrated anyway with zero chin'. So I wouldn't want Cotto to fight Kirkland because he gains nothing from this fight. No money and no respect here.

Cotto should be givin the chance to avenge his loss to Manny even if people think Manny would beat him up again. However I don't think Manny will fight Cotto at a weight of 150+ so instead of a Manny fight I think Cotto will fight Chavez Jr next unless Cotto agrees to fight Manny at a ******ed catchweight of 148 or 149 which I think he should not.

Wrong, pressure is not one of Cotto's weakness right now. We just seen how he delt with the pressure Margarita was putting on him and Cotto delt with it good with great footwork and combinations. Kirkland will not put pressure like Margarita because Kirkland can't take the punches that Margarita can take.

He took angulos best shots i really doubt jotto is a harder punchEr than angulo. And again kirkland showed some good d unlike margs who just walked in. He also showed a great jab that caried power. To much speed power size smart pressure and youth for jotto to overcome.
