At the moment, if we're being realistic, Dirrel, Bute, Froch and Kessler need to have a fight or two with each other. While Ward is healing, that should determine who should be next in line.

But, in my opinion, I would give Carl Froch a rematch before I give it to Bute. At this point, regardless of his last loss, Froch or maybe Kessler are more deserving than Bute. Come on man, you know this.

I disagree completely when you say that Bute isn't qualified. He is. Kessler is as well given the controversy of the first fight, the fact that he took Frochs 0 and the fact that he is WBC emeritus.

Froch needs a good comeback win first IMO.

The fact that he's been fighting C level opposition and wasn't invited to the tourny doesn't give him a reason to fight the SS winner.

There are just too many "excuses" being laid out for this guy on why x amount of fights didn't happen.

if you don't care then why do you keep bringing up the name Cloud when it is clear that to make a deal done with DKP BOTH Pascal and Bute were to agree to options?

you do realize that's one of the most aggravating things in the sport to have a promoter you have little to do with actually have their hands on your paycheck? Banner Promotions did it with Chico and it killed his take home pay

so while we can debate Pavlik (1.3 was more than fair for a comebacking substance abusing ex middle) and Kessler (750k plus upside) the Cloud debate is over
