Well those who say that didn't really follow the sport until a year after that fight.

I believe Barrera was in his prime in 2003 for the first fight. No way in 2007 though that was a useless waste of time unnecessary rematch that shouldn't have happened. Especially considering that Barrera was coming off a lose. If he was going to rematch him he should have done it right after Barrera unified the titles at 130 not after he got beat by JMM and not even close to the same caliber fighter he was 4 years earlier.

People can make all the excuses they want for that rematch happening. But, he ducked Joan Guzman and fought that rematch instead.

It was the same guy who said Jab's don't count. Suprising.

I agree. A lot of people tend to say Barrera's prime was around 2000 pre Morales but I think in 2003 he was at his peak. Being physically near prime with the skills to back it up. I'd say Barrera was at his peak for first the Pacquaio fight.

I'd have liked to have seen the Guzman fight aswell. Not too fussed it didn't in all honesty but I'd like to have seen it.

Anything instead of the second Barrera fight.

          Let's see...

Pac vs Barrera II did 350,000 buys = $17.4 million revenue

That's a whole lot more than fighting Soto that's for sure.

Pacquiao vs Solis did a little less than 200,000 buys with only $6 million revenue.

LOL @ he fought Solis because there was no big money fight (Bull**** BTW).
Why is that bull****? Pac & Barrera tried to fight earlier in the year but couldn't because Golden Boy sued Pacquiao over a breach of contract, because of that Barrera & Marquez fought eachother instead, leaving pacquiao without a big fight, which is why he fought solis (there were no other big names in the division at that time). In June of that year, TP & GB agreed to settle their lawsuit, thus allowing for Pac & Barrera to have their rematch. These are facts man.

But he wouldn't fight Soto because he was a nobody? You don't even see how much of a d*ckrider you are. You will one day though - when Manny throws you off his lap.
Ahh and finally the dick talk begins, I was wondering how long it would take before you inevitably start talking about dicks like you always do.

              I'm saying this statment from you;

"why not just make a list of all the not-so-top fighters from flyweight to welter during pac's time in each division and call it the "fighters pac ducked list"

Is the exact same thing that is done for the fighters Mayweather supposedly ducked.

lol...i don't even know why you have to bring up floyd in this thread in the first place. i was making a suggestion to people to help them sleep better at night...and then you butt in with your justification for floyd

This is what happens when you think you're a pseudo businessman. Shane Mosley is a bigger star than Victor Ortiz by miles. So why did Floyd make more fighting Ortiz? Ask yourself. Then...shut up.

Unfortunately NATAS, nothing takes away from the fact that Barrera was a lesser opponent than Soto and Guzman at the time and Pacquiao fought him anyway. Telling me the story of TR and GBP doesn't change that.

What can I say, NATAS? If I see a man bobbing his head on another man's lap I'm going to call him a d*ckrider. Don't be offended, just get off your knees.

Very cute, ask me a question and say I can't answer, I do, then bring up floyd . Nice tactics but still not going to work.

Ortiz vs Floyd was a success for obvious reasons - victor was a much bigger name than soto ever was or will be, he was coming off a very impressive fight of the year candidate on HBO against Berto. Who was soto coming off a win against again? oh yeah, a nobody. Add to that 24/7 and it's mayweather, a certified star who will sell against anyone and once again your argument goes to ****. Pac wasn't a huge star yet, only after he fought oscar was a huge star (just like floyd). Additionally Floyd was able to take like a 90% split of the pot against ortiz just because he could. Pac vs Soto would have done AT BEST the same PPV number as Solis did, which is still less money than what pac made fighting barrera. Again nice try, but still you fail.

I just laid down facts. Pac & Barrera were set to rematch early in the year, it couldn't happen because of the lawsuit so it was delayed to later in the year. Barrera even at that time was probably a better fight competitively speaking than soto was, who lets face it would have walked forward who as we all know pac shines against, but not guzman, I'll give you the latter. I always wanted the guzman fight to happen and i'm such a pacquiao "dick rider" I was even saying on this message board at the time guzman was going to beat pacquiao. Yeah what a giant ******* I am saying guzman was going to outbox him.

I'm sure visualizing that is such a turn on for you. learn some new disses man it's always the same exact **** with you.
