the way i see it, berto is a 6 round boxer. if he can't beat someone in the early rounds it's gonna be tough for him. berto has fought a few tough 12 rounders in the past.
ortiz also won the last rounds, and knowing that they desperately tried to stop zaveck before it came to late rounds.
    ortiz by dec in 12

Ortiz really just put it on him for the most part last time, took him out of his game plan, out muscled him, out lasted him and out punched him

That should be enough to confirm the same will happen again but i confess i have the feeling a turnaround result could be on the cards, Berto probably didnt give Ortiz the respect he should have last time (he damn sure will now) and with his new training programme and nutritional team he should be in better shape stamina wise ( though he didnt look too much different vs Zaveck imo)

Still i dont trust my "feeling" anymore, i'll stick with facts and Vic beat his ass handily Knockdowns aside

      Ortiz UD

He really did not look good against Zaveck.

I think Berto was very lucky that the eye damage occured because if that fight went the full 12 I think Zaveck had more than good chance of winning.

We don't know how Victor will perform straight off of a ko loss to Floyd without a confidence builder.

It was certainly gonna be a fight! Zaveck made a fan out of me that night, nice guy, good fighter, big heart and of course that classic moment when he learned how bad the cut was - "FUUUUCCK!"

Also he went into the Berto fight with a real point to prove about his courage ect, he was a big dog in that fight and fought like he was possesed! Can he do it again???

I think so, Berto is still just Berto

But I really just want a great fight.
^^^You hit the nail on the head. I believe that Berto plays right into Ortiz's style, they both like to ****, and Ortiz is better at that. Berto's new "conditioning" won't make much difference because it's not gonna stop him from getting hit, as evident by what happened in the Zaveck fight. Ortiz will apply much more athletic than Zaveck and he'll be able to apply more pressure. The only way Berto wins this fight is by making it ugly, punch punch and then hold. But I don't even think he has the skill-set to do so, not that Ortiz is a prodigy, but when it's all said and done, if both guys with a high level of determination, I think Ortiz has what it takes to get the W.

As Dedication said, Berto needs to stay off the ropes, if he can do just that...it would make a world of difference. I see Berto's been training his legs too. If you guys pay close attention to what happened against Ortiz in the first fight, you'll see that every time Berto was close to getting his legs back, Ortiz would crack around the temple area and Berto's legs would look weak again. Ortiz never allowed him to fully recover. We'll see...
