No he doesn't. Ward just needs to man up and get in there with him. Just because he won the super 6 doesn't mean he can claim to be the best at smw. He may be the ring champion but until he defeats Bute, there will be a dispute over who's the best. Bute is the best outside of the super 6. The super 6 is over so if he wants to further solidify his place atop the division, he has to defeat Bute. That's my take on it. I like Ward. I think he's an outstanding fighter but saying that he needs to beat A level fighters before the world gets a chance to see a fight we've been looking forward to can lead me to believe he is reluctant to fight him. I'm on the fence because a throwback fighter would've have faced Bute right away.
