People have selective memories. Ortiz, Mosley, Marquez, Hatton, De La Hoya and Baldomir were all a threat to Floyd before he fought them, all had tools that would give him a problem.

He dominates them and suddenly people always believed his victory was obvious. People won't be satisfied until he loses or isn't dominant in a fight which is why people cling to Castillo I being his last challenge.

It's funny how many people hate my sig as if I was the one that wrote it.

They hate that it exposes the real truth and not some fictitious *******ed story that was made to re-write history.

            hatton
            martinez
            pacquiao

if he had done that i would be calling him greatest of all times P4P
even if he lost 1 or 2 of those fights (no way he beats pwills anyway)

he could retire after that safe in the knowledge he was the best he could be

instead he fought hatton (fair enough)B
            and bums

sad sad floyd ruined his career and legacy
Martinez wasn't relevant in 07 he didn't even care about him self Paul Williams he's been out boxed and beat to crap by to men who don't have superior skills to Floyd it would have been pull counters for twelve rounds from Floyd and body shots. Cotto easily woulda been stopped on cuts and arum stopped that fight anyway where was pacquio in 07 like lightweight or super feather weight? There was no talk or idea that these two would come up one day to fight.

No Idk about the Margo fight but my guess is he didn't take it cause of the fued with TR but idk so I can't put my two cents in.

Ortiz. Ortiz was a boxer-puncher which are notorious for giving pure boxers trouble. He was a southpaw which is trouble for Mayweather's shoulder roll (although people forget Floyd has a great high guard), he was 10 years younger, and he was bigger than Mayweather.

People who dying to see Mayweather get in the ring with Mosley after Mosley called him out. Everyone was saying Mayweather was afraid because he dismissed the idea of fighting Shane. People made threads asking when Floyd was going to sign the contract. The minute that fight got made, Mosley was old and over the hill. This coupled with the Marquez fight had people asking when Mayweather was going to stop fighting old worn fighters. He then fights Ortiz, who's young and prime, and it's still not good enough.

Yawn. All the same people saying "so and so is going to beat Floyd!!!one!!111"

Then Floyd wins, and it's "that guy was never a threat!!!"

You guys are too much. Tell Pacquiao to stop hiding behind Arum, so he can be Mayweathers next non threat.

Apparently when you're the best in Boxing you're never going to fight anyone good... Guess that's how it is huh? You're either the best thing since the human race evolved, or an overrated bum who fought cans.

But to answer the question, Ortiz was a threat, Mosley was a threat, Ricky Hatton was a threat. He also beat the same JMM that just outboxed Pacquiao a month ago. That's not an attempt to rip Manny, because Manny did fight Cotto and Margarito whom Floyd refused to fight, but it's ridiculous to say that FLoyd hasn't fought a threat.

his win over judah showed he had heart and determination because he was getting schooled for a while

cant think of any good recent fights of his

ricky hatton fight wasnt really good- ricky is limited and has the dumbest defense (ricky rush, ricky smash, ricky take hits)
floyd looked good against hatton but i dont know how much you can read into that
This here makes you irrelevant. Quit posting!

No offense, because some of those guys were considered live fights for Floyd going in, but you can pick quotes of people picking anyone to beat anyone around here. I'm pretty sure there weren't too many people that really thought Gatti, Baldomir, or Oscar would really beat Floyd, and I remember that while there was a vocal minority saying Ortiz would win, like 90% of NSB voted for Floyd in every poll I saw.
