floyds wins over baldomir and castillo 2 were his best

his win over gatti looked the most impressive

his win over judah showed he had heart and determination because he was getting schooled for a while

cant think of any good recent fights of his

ricky hatton fight wasnt really good- ricky is limited and has the dumbest defense (ricky rush, ricky smash, ricky take hits)
floyd looked good against hatton but i dont know how much you can read into that

And the real answer to this thread is Mosley considering a lot of people said Mayweather would never fight him and how he was ducking him. A good number picked him to lose and what not. Mayweather was the favorite though.

Ortiz was a credible opponent, but not a "real threat"

People picked Hatton as well. Lead up to that fight was intense on these boards.

Well we can only assume since Floyd was hiding his true weight nowadays but think about this. If those extra lbs are for nothing then why Floyd didnt try to make weight and honor the stipulated weight contract? He could easily do that if he wants too.

Assume is right aka youdont have the slightest clue.

Second of all... Floyds weight didnt play into the fight at all... He didnt lean on him, didnt push him around, he didnt fight on the inside with Marquez.... That was a boxfest.. A sparring match... He touched Jmm when he wanted and Jmm couldnt touch him and thats it, period.

Come on. Weight is one of the most important factors in boxing. If only Floyd honored those weight agreement. Those 2 lbs might slow down him a beat, weaken him a bit and so on...just enough to feel Marquez punches. Who knows? but then Floyd was a smart fellow and will never jeopardize his 0 record. So? he just paid the peanut penalty.

I agree with the TS...imo floyd has taken the easy road avoiding all of the true challenges and instead fighting either smaller, older, or inexperienced fighters in order to make himself look twice as awesome. Now if he would've taken on Cotto, Marg, Williams, Martinez, Clottey, and Pacquiao when they were all relevant only then would I give the man credit for the latter part of his career.

You can't knock Floyd for how good he is, only threat I see is Martinez at 154, that's about it.

So what are you saying? Floyd beat Marquez easily because he wasn't weakened by the weight agreement? Oh my god how dare Floyd fight Marquez completely healthy! Floyd only would get credit from you for beating Marquez if he had been weight drained?

Just face it as long Floyd stays healthy and sharp nobody at this weight class beats him. Pacquiao fought that same version of Marquez but just two years later and arguably got his ass beat. So yes Marquez proved he could handle being over 140, the man rehydrated to 150 lbs. the same weight Floyd is when he fights. Stop trying to find any means to discredit him.

Then what is the point of luring a lightweight to fight at welterweight and promised him to fight at 144 as leveling field only to come 2 lbs overweight?
