Why didn't Reed retire this thread right here, after Dominicano came in & skillfuly destroyed this tread in 1 sentence?

        LMAO!
Ortiz - Going into the fight he was a Genuine threat, young, fast, powerful, bigger coming off an impressive victory

Marquez - Although No2 P4P and the champ at LW at the time i didn't see Marquez as a genuine threat

Mosley - Genuine threat coming off one of the best performances of his career against Margarito

Oscar - Genuine threat, coming off a great win. Fight was on his terms at his weight (154)

I'm not going to continue, point is MM dominates his opponents so convincingly that it seems like he's not fought a genuine threat.

Ortiz was another one of those fighters that had potential but was brought in too early to take on someone like Floyd. One fight at 147 against someone that everyone here said has been fighting no-names and needs to step it up is good enough for you guys? Especially when he had a draw in his previous fight and the other threat he had against Maidana, he failed .... Ortiz was not ready, for me!

Either way, that SUCKER PUNCH finish didn't prove anything!

Ortiz had just legitimately defeated the 3rd best ww in the world before he fought floyd. The reason victor wasn't ready was because Floyd is that much better than anyone else.
At some point it makes no sense to discuss it anymore.

Before Mayweather fought Mosley everyone said he was scared to fight him. When the contract was signed everyone said Mosley would be his toughest test to date. After the fight was over everyone said Mosley was over the hill.

After Ortiz beat Berto, most people, Bob Arum included, said that Mayweather would never fight him because hes scared of southpaws. When Ortiz went on video and said he was reviewing the contract, people didn't believe him. When the contract was signed people said "Mayweathers first legit threat in years", while Bob Arum suddenly changed his tune to "I can't believe Golden boy would put Ortiz in there with Mayweather". After he beat him it went to "Mayweather is a cherry picker".

You'll find similar comments/videos with basically any fighter that Mayweather has fought over the years. It'll be the same thing regardless of whoever he fights next - even if its Pacquiao or Martinez.

Mayweather's last 2 fights were considered threats.

I don't get threads like this. Well, I do, but it's annoying. Before Mosley, I thought Floyd was facing a threat, and Floyd defused him, so I shut up. Before Ortiz, the people making these threads said Ortiz was a threat, and Floyd defused him and knocked him out.

                      So shut up already.
