It most definitely is about money, both cash green and money through promotions, exposure, etc.
But the fact remains, he's calling out a dude that is almost 20 lbs lighter than him. Yet, its unreasonable to ask a high ranking P4P fighter to move up any weight.
Kinda sucks when the shoe is on the other foot i supposeComment

Do you really think Martinez would move up to 168 to face Ward? He has never talked about or shown any interest to take on anyone in the Super middleweight division.Comment

Ummm what are you talking about?I'd favor Ward even if they were the same size, but Martinez is probably too small to be moving up an extra 8 pounds. He fought as a jr middleweight in his last fight. Martinez said he'd consider 164, but I doubt Ward is interested in that because he's already talking about fighting at light heavyweight.Comment

martinez is willing to go down to 150 for pac, just like margarito. last fight against barker he was 165 on fight night, just like margarito. but yeah, i guess martinez needs to rack up a loss or be a lightweight for team pac to look at him.It most definitely is about money, both cash green and money through promotions, exposure, etc.

Martinez is willing to move down 10 pounds at 150. It's not like he's asking Pacquiao to fight at 160.It most definitely is about money, both cash green and money through promotions, exposure, etc.
