Like i said earlier, pac has no business going past 147. What did he weigh in for the margarito fight? Plus, martinez would balloon 15-20 lbs overnight, the size discrepenecy is huge, yet its expected/potential for pac. But the other high ranking p4p cant move up any lbs?
I always thought p4p could be a rather meaningless saying. He's one of the best at his division, apparently nothing more.Comment

He rehydrated to 165 against Barker, a middlweight fight. Why is it ok for Margy to fight Pac at 151 and rehydrate to 165 but not for Martinez?Like i said earlier, pac has no business going past 147. you're not making any sense. pacquiao didn't go past 147 against margarito so who says he has to against martinez? margarito weighed 150 like they wanted, martinez says he can do it. margarito weighed 165 lbs on fight night against pacquiao, so did martinez against barker.Like i said earlier, pac has no business going past 147. and since when has p4p ranking mean you have to go up and fight in different divisions or be a multi-divisional champ? how many world titles in different weight classes has andre ward, tim bradley, vitali klitscko, wladimir klitschko, and pongsaklek wonjongkam held?Comment

Its alright, thats not what im getting at. Plus, imo, martinezis way more skill/ more of a dangerous fighter with the size.
Im more or less focusing on martinez and his p4p claim, or being anywhere near the top of the list.Comment

nahhhh Martinez is a small middleweight, i don't see a jump up in weight class anytime soon frankly.Comment

This has less to do with pac, and more to do with sergio. And a p4p ranking hasnt meant **** to me for a while, thus answering your since when question.you're not making any sense. pacquiao didn't go past 147 against margarito so who says he has to against martinez? margarito weighed 150 like they wanted, martinez says he can do it. margarito weighed 165 lbs on fight night against pacquiao, so did martinez against barker.

Then your argument shouldn't be about the size. You don't necessarily need to beat guys bigger than you to be a highly ranked P4P fighter. All of Donaire's opponents were either as big or smaller than him;Comment

Thats what some consider, not me. I make a distinction between best in a division, and actual p4p. P4p is a significant, meaningful phrase, and isnt a word loosely thrown out there. Fighting somebody your own size is just a fair fight. Holding your own against people that are bigger than you is whats significant to me. Sure, one should be able to beat guys their own size, and if they cant then they are just ****ty(ier) fighters. But moving up and murking people is what brings special significance to your size, thus being p4p.
even if manny lost to floyd, i would still probably consider him p4p better than mayweather.Comment
