Pretty interesting... but it wouldn't suprise me if the testing issues get brought up in negotations and unless the two camps are desperately seeking the extra tests then they just pass over the subject with no second thoughts, I don't think any team wants to see negotiations stall.
The Ward/Conte/Testing situation

And for Wards case, who's to say the tournament agreement didn't state anything about extra testing... so if Green or Froch decided they didn't want the distraction when truthfully nobody is really expecting them to test, then they could just argue the initial agreement or contract was to follow standard testing procedures, which would force Wards camp into either agreeing with them or delaying/ending negotiations.Comment

I think it's more the doubt due to his call for action and then nothing... there's much more su****ious cases out there than Wards *cough adamek and haye*Comment

I think there's a difference between "refusing" a test and just not taking one.
To the best of my knowledge, none of Ward's opponents have blatantly asked Ward to except OSDT where Ward later "refused". If so, I would like to see documentation of this because I find it hard to believe.
I think this is where people are jumping the gun. It's one thing for Abraham and others to have taken OST and Ward hasn't. I would have to see the contract agreements; maybe there's underlying stipulations behind Ward and his opponents not taking the test. But I don't get this scenario confused with flat out "refusing" the test. If that happens, people have reasons to be concerned. But it hasn't.Comment

Unfortunately, Ward has gone on record exclaiming how expensive it is to go through with OST... Whether or not he really believes that or if it is true in the case of his financial standing, only he (and his accountant) would know.Sadly, I think you hit the nail on the head, jrosales13 : In that, nobody truly gives a fuck whether a fighter is doping or not, unless it has something to do with Pacquiao and Mayweather, and the issue of whether or not they'll ever STFU and just fight it out.
Of course, what do I know? I'm just a Ward "hater"... I mean, anybody that raises a topic of conversation around here nowadays that runs counter to any fighter's fanbase is simply a "hater", right?
The propensity of these "fans" to resort to such childish nonsense is utterly vacuous, and turns most intelligent fans off from discussing legit topics here. These kids' shoe sizes are clearly higher than their IQ scores.
Aside that, there's nothing about Ward that warrants questions about whether he's juicing or not. This itself is aside the main point...
Until fighters pressure him to stand behind his word, he'll continue to get away with being an advocate for better testing. Froch and anybody else who really cared about it could easily make a big deal out of it and demand he follow up on his word of random testing, but nobody has called his bluff, whose fault is that?Comment

I don't buy the expensiveness of the test excuse....Berto-Ortiz will have the same tests. Fights in the S6, has had the same tests(AA-Taylory, AA-Froch). If he really wants to test then he would actually test. He can sell all the wolf tickets(talking about he wants better testing) he wants. But, his actions and the way he has acted makes me believe his not serious about wanting better testing. As a pro anyways.Unfortunately, Ward has gone on record exclaiming how expensive it is to go through with OST... There was a little issue with the AA fight of wanting better testing. AA and his team just decided to fight on. No ones at fault but why was their any issue to begin with if he's suck and advocate for better testing.Comment

Damn you Ward. You are rising up weight classes, youre beard is getting better, youre aging yet getting faster and stronger and you are knocking out guys twice your size.
**** you Dre.Comment

Ward has said that he will take any test and I believe him. Why haven't his opponents pushed for it strongly, like Floyd has with Pacquiao?
If they don't then Andre doesn't have to go out of his way to prove anything.
The fact that the original poster felt the need to throw in the whole "black powah" thing leads me to believe maybe his real problem with Ward stems from something else.
Just saying.Comment

Like?
It was an issue for the AA fight...So Ward wouldn't have been going out of his way to take the test...I guess AA should have just canceled the fight. Yea....That's the thing to do.Comment
