Floyd's 34 years old ... Maybe he'll fight even 5 years more but I think the fighter of the next decade award is going to be awarded to a younger boxer such as Nonito (29) or some other young prospects...
Really a hard thing to speculate about considering we are only 1 year into the decade. Even for Donaire it would be hard considering he is already almost 30 and doesn't seem willing to move up to a more relevant division. Rios maybe? Ward?
gayweather wont, lol, hed be angry about that decision aswell, hed still be talking about hes retired and undefeated so he desrves it cause hes undefeated, lol, floyd will continue to hate on everyone elses sussess while he cries about how he was robbed for the fighter of the decade awad every decade, lol, nyahaha
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, we haven't heard of the guy yet.....
If we haven't even heard of him yet in 2011 (going into 2012), he's not going to be much of a 'Fighter of the Decade' is he? Haven't heard of him two years into the decade, then it's going to take him 2, 3 or so years at least to get to the top, which already puts it near the middle of the decade.
Even Pac got it for only a few years of fighting really. He wasn't on the P4P scene until quite recently, and suddenly becomes FOTD, so I can understand your point. It's basically a bit of a hype thing as much as anything but Pac had great accomplishments overall so is deserving enough.
As for the next? I don't know. It's way too early.
