But lets not forget also that Calzaghe has been having problems making weight. He is naturally a bigger built man, than the weight division might suggest.

Between Lacy-Calzaghe i have one main fear for Calzaghe. And that is, that Calzaghe is way past any sort of form he had. He is still doing well. Nothing can take away his 17 defences, if that is the correct number. But personally i think he made a major blunder by fighting Evans Ashira as a "warm up" to Lacy. He knew his hand was suseptible to injury, because he had injured it before, but still the fight went on. I just cant wait to see the fights which have been postponed so much. That is Calzaghe-Lacy and Hatton-Mayweather. Both hopefully reaching us in the first half of 2006.

Definetly. I might find myself spending lots on a couple of fights.

They are out there... there are even lounges on this site for that express purpose. It's just that people are too lazy to look. If I wanted to see Lacy I'd ask for the download and watch him (if he wasn't on TV anyway, you see what I mean?)

It's to your credit you've taken the time to find out... and to others' detriment that they deride a fighter they haven't made an effort to see.
I'm talking about casual boxing fans, which are basically just HBO and Showtime viewers and doesn't order PPV's but just watch it the following week. They just watch boxing for the sake of it and gaining knowledge is not really a necessity. Obviously, they wouldn't take the time to download and watch non-televised bouts. Here in BS, I still think that there are more casual fans than hardcore fans. Sometimes, you just have to say "**** it, there's nothing we can do about these fans."

              I think its a pick'em fight.

Calzaghe in his prime would easily outbox Lacy, but he is definetly slower then usual, and his reflexes have dimmed. I see it being a close fight, but if the fight is in Wales, I think Calzaghe could get the nod.

Calzaghe looks much slower then usual, but I think his power is still there. If Lacy respects Calzaghe's punch then he is in for a long night, but if not I think it's big trouble for Calzaghe.

Lacy is a machine, and one of the most intense boxer today but all this P4P top 10 talk needs to stop. He was rated 54 I believe by The Ring last issue and now he should be 10 with a blowout over a journeyman? Why?

Having said all of this, this fight is very intriguing and I'm interested on what will happen. Everyone says Lacy is too powerful and will walk through everyone with his chin, stamina, and strong will but I think he can be outboxed and counter-punched because He leaves himself open alot.

Both fighters would have a good chance. If lacy wins it will probably be a KO, or TKO. Calzaghe is much more likely to win a decision as he is a more skilled fighter. It really is a tough one to call, though i'd maybe just be backing JC. If Lacy can't "drop da bomb" then he will get frustrated and i think Joe could take advantage of that.

I'm a hard man, but as soon as one person starts with the "cal***gy" **** it's opening the floodgates.
