Maybe HE'S learnt, but many half witted posters here have not, as you can see from their comments.

If GBP sends Cotto a crazy contract with big money fights with May, Canelo i think GB would get him.

Cottos all about $$ at this point

          Of course he would.

Oscar is a business man with money on his mind, Cotto is big business and big money. Any promotional company would welcome one of the few gaurenteed draws in boxing with open arms.

Cotto is staying with Top Rank but if I was Oscar I would go to Cotto and tell him "If you sign with GBP I come out of retirement to fight you and after that you have a guranteed fight with Floyd at the end of the year" that would be too much money to turned down.

I only hope that Miguel does not sign exclusively with Top Rank which would limit his fights to Chavez and and a Pacquiao rematch. He should take it one fight at a time. If Floyd or Canelo come calling, he should be able to make his decision without his promoter blocking his decision for personal reasons against the other promoter. He is in the perfect position to be a free agent at this point in his career. As far as loyalty to Top Rank, what kind of loyalty or sensitivity did it show when Arum took Margarito's side and dismissed the chance that he used the plaster vs Cotto (which most suspected then and almost all feel now). Golden Boy presents many new opportunites to Miguel that he should not dismiss out of a blind sense of loyalty to Arum.

Question is which fights can GBP offer him that can be interested to him? Mayweather wouldn't fight him and GBP wouldn't put Canelo in there.

                TopRank has Chavez and PAC...

Cotto already said that he will stay with TR but without a written agreement. I'm assuming that means that TR will be the first option to promote his fights but he will only take it fight by fight. I think that is a good idea for Cotto's career at this point, that way he is not only limited to JCC Jr and Pac.

No, it simply means that he WILL sign the TR. He knows that GBP or anyone else for that matter can't offer him what he wants.

There's no dount, you ARE a bigoted imbecile. Arum didn't take ANY sides. He believed that Margarito was innocent, because he is a lawyer and there was NO evidence....NO EVIDENCE. The Commission itself said of the Mosley investigation that they found Margarito to not have known anything about the illegal pad, and some wanted his to be not penalised.

But because of a sub clause in their Rules, they compromised amongst themselves by issuing the least penalty allowable.

When will you fools ever admit the light of reason???

Cotto is loyal the way Marvin Hagler was loyal. They were and are happy with Top Rank, as are all their fighters except Oscar and Mayweather, 2 notoriously greedy, malicious and off-balance characters.
