You're comparing an unknown Sergio Martinez to the current Pacquiao?

They must defend their leader. Even against the unknown.

I believe in all honesty that Martinez WANTS to fight the best guys at his weight... he is an older guy who started at an age where boxers are peaking... and still, at least to my knowledge he has not back down ANY fights in his weight... in fact I believe it might as well be the opposite.

Martinez has proven to be a guy that rises to the challenge... in the ring he has shown guts, brilliance, excitement a true athlete that doesn't rely on bravado or mind games... and always ALWAYS carries himself with lots of class.

You can't say that of many other fighters.
First, Martinez is not a bum. But saying the he is after "best guys at his weight" is way off. Calling smaller guys like Floyd and Pac is a guy after best guys at his weight? Obviously, he only wants BIG Payday but his promoter/adviser making him "hypocrite".

The dude is calling out the #1 and #2 p4p fighters in a weight class they already fought in, because he's p4p #3. How does that make him a bum? Are you saying that every fighter in boxing is a bum? **** outta here.

            Terrible thread.
Mayweather only fought once at 154. That was 4 1/2 years ago. He's a natural welterweight. Pac only fought once for 154 belt at 150 catchweight, weighed in at 144, outweighed by Margarito by 17 pounds on fight night. Said he don't wanna mess at that weight again after the fight. Also a natural welterweight.

So in other words, they'll fight at those weights only if the opponent isnt as good as Sergio the Bum?

shouldn't that be a sign that martinez only wants the big payday though? a 160 lb fighter draining himself down to 150 instead of moving up a few pounds to face the winner of the super six. martinez doesn't need to beat pac or floyd to be p4p#1 imo.. all he has to do is keep winning against good competition.

early this year, he dont want but I think both are willing to fight at 150lbs. Why he is draining himself when we all know, fighting smaller guys will not make you the best. He was asked to move up weight which still his walking weight but what did he said? He is small for those guys. Pirog calling him and offered his biggest payday but he/advisers/promoter declined it. Is that fighting the best on your weight? Fighting south instead of fighting North?

As I said, he saying Pac fighting dead guys and why he is calling Cotto and MArgarito? Martinez is truly P4P boxer but his handlers making him hypocrite.
