Floyd and JMM not the same

Just read an article about Roach saying that the two are completely different even though both are counter punchers and that they could exploit some flaws Floyd has.

I know I might get bashed from Floyd fans and i am a Floyd fan and think he has the edge on Manny but i think what Roach says is true. Their counter punching style is completely different and JMM takes some risks that Floyd would never take. The big flaw I see in Floyd is he doesn't use his legs to move anymore. He is content with blocking the punches and twisting and turning and it works. His opponent's connect rate is low but i think it puts him in a situation where he gets hit with that one big punch that can knock him out. If you fight a guy like Manny, you cannot just stay there and twist and turn and thats what Floyd does.

This is exactly why I said that people using Pac's performance against JMM as a measuring stick for how he would do in a Mayweather fight are way, way off. They are two completely different animals.....If Pac throws a bunch of punches and traps Floyd on the ropes, Floyd is gonna be in trouble.

If Pac boxes with Floyd, he will struggle himself but the activity of Pac and the odd angles is going to be the story of the fight.

If Floyd fights professionally, then he wins the fight easy (like Marquez). If Floyd gets ****y and tries and trades with Pac( Like his last 3 fights), there could be an upset. Not sure which Floyd which show up.

Fixed it for you, fighting to exploit your opponents weaknesses and maximize your strengths is smart boxing. If he disrespects Pacquiao like he did Ortiz ( leading with a right uppercut) then an upset could happen.

Also Mayweather style of countering would be worse for Pacquiao as he can do it from the outside. Marquez style of countering at gives the two fighters and opportunity to engage which allows Pacquiao to score points.

but !!!! and this is a big but mayweather only threw 1 punch !!!!! while a true perfectionist like marquez wouldve countered with 3-4 punches in return !!!!! and aside for the 1 punch at the begining of marquez flurry mayfeathers DIDNT throw another punch instead he waited for marquez to finish before he started his offense !!!!!!!!!!!! oh and one more thing ....... um never mind !!! i was going to mention how marquez was basically out of shape and fat going into that fight but i changed my mind and i wont bring it up !!!!!!!!!

And Marquez would have missed with half his shots and would have been hit in return.

The only thing Mayweather counters is AIR! To counter someone means your punch landed, Floyds didn't.

Floyd is not on the counter punching level Marquez is.

well, Floyd is LITERALLY a bigger fighter than marquez, so not only is he accepted to be faster than marquez, but bigger, so logically he's a BIGGER problem.

problems are there to be dealt with, and Manny's the dude to resolve such a problem.
