Floyd and JMM not the same

Just read an article about Roach saying that the two are completely different even though both are counter punchers and that they could exploit some flaws Floyd has.

I know I might get bashed from Floyd fans and i am a Floyd fan and think he has the edge on Manny but i think what Roach says is true. Their counter punching style is completely different and JMM takes some risks that Floyd would never take. The big flaw I see in Floyd is he doesn't use his legs to move anymore. He is content with blocking the punches and twisting and turning and it works. His opponent's connect rate is low but i think it puts him in a situation where he gets hit with that one big punch that can knock him out. If you fight a guy like Manny, you cannot just stay there and twist and turn and thats what Floyd does.

call me crazy, but I am thinking that floyd knows this very piece of information that you just indulged us with. its not groundbreaking news that floyd wont be able to fight manny like he has everyone else. he will have to make some adjustments, slight adjustments, but they will have to be made nonetheless. the question is, what can pacquiao do when may figures him out? nothing you say? just as i was thinking!

well, it might not be groundbreaking news but its something that he hasn't fixed yet and he might want to do it. Also, this isn't just some small flaw. Its not like leaving your lead hand down low or keeping your chin down. Those are things that can be fixed right away but this can't because i don't think Floyd sees it as a flaw. Its his style now to stand there and twist and turn. The fact is, he is a flatfooted boxer and he thinks his supreme defense of doing the shoulder roll is enough.

Of course they are different. Floyd is somewhat like Barrera, he waits for the attack to finish before he attacks. JMM engages immediately when attacked (with combinations too).

Yeah, we know. Floyd's way better.

While Juan Manuel Marquez is an intelligent fighter with the will of the Aztec Warriors bred into his very soul, he is only 1/3 of the fighter Floyd is. Manny Pacquiao is certainly a good fighter. He's not the greatest by far though. I'm getting to the point as to where I don't even care if the fight happens or not. It's painfully obvious that Floyd will toy with Manny like a cat does with a ball of yarn. He'll slap him around for a while but the people are going to want a KNOCKOUT! If he fades, Floyd will finish him. In his last fight, during round 4, Floyd took more of a risk than he normally does. The Sky Sports' announcer even said that he stood corrected after he said the last time Floyd threw a combination, Tony Blair was in office. I truly believe that Floyd will bring that same aggressive attitude to the later stages of his fight with Pacquiao [IF it ever happens]. Manny better be in tremendous shape going into the fight with Floyd. He better not skip a step during his training camp. Floyd will be in tremendous shape as always.

well, he doesnt see it as a flaw because it isnt. he does it because he can. however, he cannot do that with manny, so he will not. floyd knows what to do with whoever he fights. his only flaw is that hes greedy and money hungry, which is why it takes forever for the fights we wanna see to happen...

If Floyd fights scared, then he wins the fight easy (like Marquez). If Floyd gets ****y and tries and trades with Pac( Like his last 3 fights), there could be an upset. Not sure which Floyd which show up.

rfreedie is right !!! because marquez is willing to exchange with manny , while mayweather will just put on his cross trainers and run like cotto !!!! in order to do well you have to be like marquez , or morales and not be scared to get into a firefight !!!! but and this is a major BUT !!!!! if you get into a firefight with manny you will loose and end up on your ass like morales and marquez !!!!

Pacquiao ain't finishing Mayweather even if he does hurt him.

Floyd doesnt twist and turn too often against Southpaws.
