Pac-EM: Why was the gloves preference in the contract???

I'm fully aware of that but it still doesn't answer why was it in the contract in the first place

I guess only Arum or Morales can answer my question or some of the other promoters that exercised this option.

I do not know the main reason about the gloves in the contract. But my guess is that the promoter of EM probably thinks that by both fighters wearing Winning gloves, Pac will have less power in his punch. Because that Winning gloves have more padding in around the knuckles than the Reyes gloves. Making it an advantage for EM.
