Pac-EM: Why was the gloves preference in the contract???

First of all, I'm so sick of the fans arguing what could've happened if Pac wore Reyes or if both of them wore it. Just ****in' stop with that ****, we're all gonna find out anyway come Jan 21st.

Now, the real question is NOT what could've happened, but WHY was it in the contract in the first place?

I think it's more of a psychological edge than physical. If it is indeed a kind of mental distraction to your opponent, it is a form of legal cheating?

Pac-EM was not the only fight with gloves contract, so my question is really why implement this in the first place. Shouldn't it be enough that your opponent is using legal boxing gloves?

WHY? WHY? WHY? Nuthuggers are not allowed to respond in this thread.

Pacquiao's EX promoter Murrad Muhammad made all the decision about the contract without discussing it with Manny and Freddy.

That's one of the many reasons he's his EX promoter.

WTF? that was a controversial thing. First off that was SUPPOSED TO BE TA 1st FIGHT THAt ALLOWS 2 FIGHTAS TO WEAR DIFFERENT BRAND OF GLOVES. Obviously it din't happen becuz Arum knew it's a distraction and it will lessen Pac's power.

          I mean let's face it.

          Reyes Gloves did these:

Lennox was weaing Cleto Reyes when he cut Vitali's eyes.
Raheem was wearing Cleto Reyes when he almost dropped Morales. Raheem don't punch that hard and it's obvious Cleto Reyes made him punch harder. LOL!

I'm fully aware of that but it still doesn't answer why was it in the contract in the first place

I guess only Arum or Morales can answer my question or some of the other promoters that exercised this option.

The gloves aren't going to matter.

At the end of the day, experience makes a good fighter, not gloves.

Obviously Morales "claims" that he has brittle hands and is not comfortable with a "non-pillow-type" gloves. He added this to the contract to protect his hands.

Killing two birds with one stone ...... that's another story.
