It would be bananas for Cotto to fight Chavez without weight demands.

Im gonna disagree wholeheartedly on that one. chavez may have "ability" against the tomato cans hes been fighting. a step up in class of this magnitude would yield a ugly loss for young chavez. hes not good enough to beat cotto, unless its at like 168 lol

Chavez Jr already said he couldnt make 156 for Canelo.

If Cotto wants it he should go to 160.

exactly.. Chavez probably couldn't make lower than 160 anyway..he's huge.

Chavez Jr is too big. There has to be a catch weight. Jr comes in fight night well over 170+. I have no doubt Miguel will knock that fraud out IF the fight is made at the right weight.

Chavez is not making less that 160... he's a fat boy.. he shouldnt even be a middleweight anyway... fat ass dude needs to move up... especially since he refuses to fight anyone of worth at 160.. Cotto should stay away..

It is Cotto's skills that would win him this fight. There will be a huge advantage in weight and that's interestingly enough to balance the fight.Chavez isn't your typical pressure fighter and cotto can fight at a moderate place.I'm sure fight night cotto will hear ringing of the punches but he can get away using what he naturely has.A lot of ppl are tired of chavez and pretty much want him exposed. If it were my choice, I would rather have him exposed by a natural Welter Weight.Conditioning will play a big role, and again I believe cotto has that edge. For Christ sakes julio was out of breath talking to kellerman after dancing with Manfredo for just a couple of rounds.

                    Thoughts?
Chavez jr Weighs 180+ on fight night. He's officially the largest MW I've ever seen. He cant make 156, he even stated that a few weeks ago. There will be no canelo fight, there will be no cotto fight, nothing, unless they go to 160.

Then the fight aint happening. There would have to be a compromise on hydration then. Jr cant come in @ 170+ fight night. If they cant work something out then Jr needs to move on and fight Martinez and get KO'D!
