Is Sergio Martinez over-rated or under-rated?

I can believe he was rated higher then JMM recently. Who has JMM beaten recently? Sure he was in a tossup with pacman, and hes def in the top 5, but floyd made him look like a ****** pissdrinker, period.

I think he's overrated.

Doesn't mean he's not a good fighter, he is a good fighter.

He's in the Top 5 best fighters in the world currently.

I just don't think he's as good as Mayweather or Pacquaio which a lot of people try to claim.

wtf? his boxing is full of fundamentals: defense, dodges....he handle the distance like a master.

I don´t think he started late of boxing , his first pro-bout was at the age of 22 years

For anyone that thinks that a 5-10 jr middleweight koing the Punisher cold & beating a 6-1 lineal middleweight champion is nothing, name another fighter that fought at 154 that could do that at the time that he did.

exactly. No one else could do that right now. And its ok for floyd and pac to force little fighters to come up in weight but not ok when martinez asks them to do it? This guy has talent and should be #4 or #5.

BN - can't say I agree with you, my friend. Even his wins against no-names have been impressive to me. A lot of people point out Barker as a bad win but I had heard (prior to the fight) that Darrin had hired some new people - trainers, etc. - who I know personally and have a great deal of respect for. For that reason alone, I came on here and posted that he would have a tough time with Barker. But he closed like a champ. Dzinziruk is no joke either. Martinez is the real deal IMO.
