Why does no one remember LaMar Clark who was 43-3 with 42 ko's? Answer: because his comp was terrible and he lost when he stepped up. See Vitaly.

"Vitali Klitschko would have killed him" - that's what will be said about any HW champ in the future.

If the talent level doesn't get any better I'll be forced to agree with you. Thankfully we'll never be able to say that about Vitaly and the champions of the past though.

B.Hop, Roy, Floyd and Manny from this era...Tyson is the ONLY HW from this time....so those connected to Tyson will be remembered as well...like Buster Douglass, Holyfield and Lewis

          Margarito- Agree with you.

B-Hop-Best fighter of the era, last of an extinct breed of oldschool fighter.
          That's just sheer bull****, frankly.

Bernard Hopkins may come from the old school and have old school elements to his game but he's not a raw old school fighter.

Old school fighters will fight dirty but then won't cry and complain when they get it back.

Old school fighters don't fake low blows and ask for breaks.

Nor would they stay down for 5 minutes after getting hit behind the head when they have been doing it just as much in the same fight.

Ask yourself if Sandy Saddler or Bennie Brisco would roll around on the canvass pretending to be hurt. Would never happe.

Hopkins does't compare to those guys when it comes to 'being old school'

Mayweather, Pacquaio, Hopkins, Roy Jones etc will all be remembered in 50 years time.

I imagine Mayweather will become overrated, epecially if he retires undefeated. A fighter of Mayweather's skill level along with retiring undefeated are the two biggest reasons for fighters being overrated so putting them together I sense he will become overrated.

The second tier people like Cotto, Paul Williams, Martinez etc will be the oens who will get lost in time. I've seen hundreds of those calibur fighters come and go. That I imagine a large percentage of this board will have never heard of.

The ATG's of the era like Mayweather, Pac, Hopkins, Jones, Marquez, Morales etc won't be forgotten.
