To be honest I think it boils down to who has the greater mental faculties to win for either fighter and I think Cotto has the edge in it based on the beast (Margarito) who took his “0” and Miguel avenging it so one-sidedly.

Granted, Ortiz fought tooth and nail with a much deserved victory over Berto but he did crack under Maidana (and never avenged the loss with Maidana where Cotto avenged his loss to Tony) and more recently getting KO’ed (sucker punch or not) by Floyd leaves more questions mentally then answers for Victor.

I think it’s a competitive fight either way, but let’s face it, Cotto is no Berto and Victor will be pressed.

I got Cotto either late round TKO or at the least a UD.

Ortiz is not a pressure fighter.

      He pressures in spots.

      He's a boxer-puncher at heart.

Ortiz onl fights in spots. Him and Berto match up well cause of that. Cotto has skills and a stiff jab, if in-active he is going to stalk you and attack

Got to have to go with Cotto on this one but it would be a fight that I would like to see

Cotto is the better fighter than Ortiz when it comes to resume, there's no doubt about that.

I personally think this is a tough fight for Cotto because Ortiz is younger, stronger and faster. Not saying Cotto's boxing would be a great help to him but this wouldn't be a slow margarito standing there to get hit.

Ortiz can move and his left hand comes fast, real fast. He's also a very good inside fighter and his right hook is deadly.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto won but I also think most Cotto fans don't want to admit that Ortiz could hurt Cotto and possibly put him away if he did.

I think Cotto looks to be in great shape. I thought he was in the twilight years. I just think he needed the motivation and training nessary to get back to top form.

He right out-side his prime right now. Kinda like Pac and Floyd. Not saying he's as good.

Ortiz is not really a southpaw he is a converted southpaw with a weak left hand . On top of that he doesn't move like a southpaw like the way manny does. People think that victor is nanny lol
