Miguel is not ****** he studied the Santos fights, knowing if your Puerto Rican and plan on beating Margarito the only way to do that is get the Dr involved and thats what happend
    ...

I'll give you Santos fights, that no contest and that decision were iffy and Santos had some ways to go before the fight ended but last night was different.

Cotto looked tired but nowhere near as bad as the first fight. Like it or not, Margarito's eye just doesn't hold up anymore which, in a way, is a shame. I'm glad that Cotto won last night, but assuming Margarito was innocent in the first fight, the first fight was and will always be, more significant than the first. This rematch had no relevance to the 154 division. It was strictly a grudge rematch.

They also that Tonys shots didnt have the same effect, Miguels face doesnt show that he is bumped up a bit, but they say that to confirm plaster was used in fight one...

Wrong 8 ounce Reyes gloves were used in that fight not the 10 ounce gloves Cotto insisted on... Cottos a *****, I lost all respect with his last min guest to observe the hand wraps of Margarito.... I lost all respect for this man and will never support him again....

Margarito did slightly better around the 5th round but he still didn't land alot of punches, especially hard punches that could slow Cotto down.

Cotto could of went the rest of the fight at that pace, no doubt in my mind.

Some fans seem to forget why it was stopped in the first place. Margarito's eye was swollen shut. If he had protected his face better, the fight would of went on longer and he would of been given longer to try and wear Cotto down. That's Margarito's fault, not Cotto's.

Cotto was moving just as well in round 9 as he was earlier in the fight.
What are you basing that statement on? Cotto's history against Margarito shows something diffrent. It showed that he can not keep that pace for 11 rounds, or did you forget? He ran out of gas then and his a$$ was running out of gas last night. Its impossiable for Cotto to run and throw punches as hard as he could while being pressured by Margarito for 12 rounds. He is not that kind of fighter. It showed in the first fight aswell as the rematch. Also round 9 should have went to Margarito, because he controlled the fight in that round. He had cotto trapped on the ropes and in full retreat mode when ever he could slide out.

[QUOTE=SWEETSCIENCE100;11513986]First let me say that I was rooting for Cotto. I wanted Margarito to be punished because I don't like cheaters. The sport of boxing is dangerous enough without cement wraps and PEDS.

Cotto boxed very good last night. To bad it only lasted for four rounds. In the fifth round Cotto started flat out running from corner to corner. The pressure from Margarito was pushing the life right out of Cotto. Between Round Six & Seven Cotto was hurt twice by body shots from Margarito's right hook to the body. Cotto had that same look of defeat from that instant on through the rest of the fight. In the last round of the fight Cotto was in full retreat and Margarito was beating him with one eye. Cotto was one round from taking a knee. Hats off to Robert Garcia and Team Cotto for TARGETING THAT DAMAGE EYE. If not for that eye Cotto would have recieved a career ending TKO. Even after the fight Cotto had the look of a beaten man! His face was swollen and riddled with bruises. His body was bright red from the hellaious body shots landed by Margarita.

You are delusional to have made that observation. If the fight went on margarito would have gotten beaten up worst. His eye was shut closed cannot see anything coming from that side. He would have relied on a hail Mary TKO to win and I just don't think he would have been able to pull it off. And give props to cottos corner especially his new trainer who physically brought him prepared to go the 12 rounds. Cotto could cruise the last 3 remaining rounds and would have won regardless. Great fight that's what boxing is about.

Margarito got his ass handed to him. He didn't win one round (convincingly) and your saying that he was winning the fight?? Dude, u must have watched a different fight. Cotto won the fight easy, using Margarito as a punching bag.

If it wasnt for that damaged eye of Margos, Cotto would get the beating of his life once again.

                      LMAO!

Are you a physic or something?

How do you know this? Cotto in the 9th round had Margarito on the ropes throwing combinations. what? u saw some body shot and you thought Cotto was done? GTFO with that bull****. Cotto was in control the whole way, there was no momentum shifting. although visible starting to tire he was still in command.
