the only thing that is evident is a repeat of the first fight, cotto would of backpedalled to a knee again before the fight is over if not for the stoppage due to the swollen eye. if not for the damage to the eye previously inflicted by pacquiao, marga will not have the same problem he had in this fight

Hatton- too small, too aggressive...
JMM- too small, only a lightweight...
Mosley- too old, shot...
Ortiz- he's ******, dropped his hands...

That's not me complaining, that's typical boxingscene. People are always so reluctant to give Floyd credit for anything.

They should give credit where credit is due.
Originally posted by sapaw View PostIMHO, Margatirto's boxing career were destroyed by his trainers... First, the plaster which I also blamed Margacheato for that but mostly on his trainer. Second, his eye injury. Garcia should stop it on Pac's fight but he didn't and we all know that this has been the issues before Cotto fight. His eye can no longer stand on this brutal sports.
Anyway, I think Cotto have a good plan on this fight and he deserves full credit for a great fight! Cong**** and I hope Chaves next on 154 lbs.
Texas is shady as hell. Doctors didn't say anything, referee let the fight go on, bad decisions there with Chris John/Juarez, Diaz/Malignaggi...you want to talk about TRULY having to go up against the hometown advantage? You go to Texas...
I'm ecstatic for Cotto winning. The fight was entertaining but certainly not fight of the year or anything like that. Cotto deserves props and man we had a blast over here watching the fight. I damn near hugged everybody in the living room! LOL!!!!!!Last edited by TintaBoricua; 12-04-2011, 12:10 PM.

actually, I was going to write a thread regarding my change of opinion regarding what happend with Margaritos wraps and the argument I had stating that Tony was guilty of having used gauze and nothing more...
I retract that argument as New evidence supports something entirely different surrounding the entire scandal, alot of this is due to mis translations of trainer Javier Capetillos side of the story in which the translation was just **** from the start.
HBO 24/7 Episode 1, The narrator and Capetillo explain what happend the night with Mosley as followed.
"Capetillo arrived to the dressing room late for the mosley fight, he had wrapped Margaritos hands with a set of gauze that was already setting out on a table"
This is from that episode, and its in Capetillos story but the Narrator also confirms this..
Note in vegas Gauze and tape is going to be out ready for you when you get to the dressing room, However California does not supply the gauze and tape... Who put that there?
Capetillo went on to say its my fault for being ******.... in other words he should have inspected the gauze first, but he does accept the blame for not being sharp.
but its true, California does not supply the gauze and tape so why was it there on a table in Tonys dressing room? and who promoted the fight? Top Rank but also Los Angeles based GBP.
in other words I think someone set that there to set Margarito up.... I was shocked to hear that version of his story I didnt catch it at first as none of use caught the black thread...
However you cant possibly use the Cotto Marg rematch as proof Tony loaded in any fight, this fight we had 10 ounce Everlast gloves if you say you know boxing acknowledge that fact

Imagine if the fight didn't take place in NYC.
Also I just I mean seriously lost all respect for him as a fighter, if you say your going to do something because you took your loss like a man yet called that loss un fair that isnt taking your loss like a man.
Then to come back and smack talk the entire time while insisting on a NY venue only or no fight, a catchweight, ten ounce everlast gloves and have a surprise guest (****m) to help you win the mental battle
I am sorry but that is a fighter who just doesnt believe in himself I will never respect him again Tito never had to do **** like this and thats the difference between a Puerto Rican and a Puta Rican

This is great, I wonder how many more excuse these mexi****s have. People should really be questioning what kind of sick people cheat then lie about it for 3 years then cry and complain after being exposed

Margarito's record after the plaster scandal:
Shane Mosley: LOSS TKO
Robert Garcia (who?): WIN
Manny Pacquiao: LOSS TKO
Miguel "Sin Plaster Soy Tu Papi" Cotto: LOSS TKO
the only fighter he's beat since the scandal was some unknown dude in Mexico.
I think it's safe to say that Margarito is nothing without cheating!

Cotto deserves credit for his win last night, I was just stating the facts. My family and my friends were just parroting, "Nope! Margarito cheated!"
The first fight and the second fight were VASTLY different. Cotto in the first fight engaged with Margarito AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN. With the ease he was hitting Margarito with, most people watching the fight were thinking that Margarito's chin was going to give out from the bombs Cotto was landing. Margarito withstood it, Cotto tired, and Margarito took over. Good fight and effort by Cotto regardless.
Here in the second fight, Cotto rarely stayed stationary, tied Margarito up and fought in spurts but conserving himself. Margarito's body work was still there last night, but Cotto did not sit there to allow Margarito to work. I think by now people have gotten a very good idea of how to beat Margarito. Movement befuddles him. When people tire, they go to the ropes and he does fantastic work. If you have stamina and decent boxing skills, he can be beat.

Threads like this show most of you dudes don't know a damn thing about boxing.
The only difference between last night and the first was strategy.
Cotto was slightly busted up from the shots Marg did land, however the reason he wasn't ripped to pieces this time is because Marg didn't land 1/4 of those unanswered punches he did in the first fight.
Props to Cotto for the excellent adjustments (clinching, pivoting and turning Margarito in both directions, pushing off, staying in the center of the ring and punching out of the clinches). this time around, and that's what won him the fight.
