margarito was getting worked over. in the last few rounds cotto was pushing him around and margs was suppose to be the bigger stronger guy. that fight would have ended with margarito getting beat up more. and yes cottos face was bruised he was taking some hard uppercuts from marg. but id anyone notice that he would let margs hit him then hed coutner up top. didn't look like the punches hurt him as much as in the first fight. makes you wonder.

Maybe yes however his eye was the problem instead of laughing at cotto when he was hitting him he should've been protecting that eye especially when it was bleeding but no he left it go I believe it would've been only a matter of time when margarito broke him down again but his eye prevented that because it wasn't healed truth be told cotto never hurt or slowed down margarito's pressure he's an amazing athlete and coto outboxed him.props to both fighter's for an excellent fight.

LOL just watched the fight again and Cotto was starting to stand his ground more in those last two rounds and was landing huge power shots on Margarito, especially on the last minute or so of the 9th rd.

Majority of losing boxers say they were robbed, they needed a few more rounds to win and so on... this is a sport where somebody has to lose! I admire Manny Pacquiao for accepting defeat from Eric Morales in 2005-sign of a true sportsman. Look at Pacquiao's status now after that defeat in 2005.
