MP is not the one generating 1.4 mil. buys, Juan MM got 1/2 of the total buy or more. MP can't get those number on hi own. When they mention MP generated 1.4 that's a lie, he had a dancing partner that people did not think he was going to last 1 to 5 rounds and JMM ended up beating/ giving MP a boxing lesson.

exactly, floyd sells fight through hype.. do you really believe people will watch floyd base on his performance in the ring, with out the thrash talk?

They buy the fight to see floyd fight. WHy does it matter anyway? Think about it like this:

20 people buy steelers gear to wear. 30 people buy cowboys stuff to burn. Would you rather sell 20 items or 30?

Bottom line is should floyd and manny fight, floyd will more than likely be the only man with 2 ppv's that sold over 2 mil.

Anyways, GO LOOK THIS UP SINCE CHRISTMAS of 2007.... Floyd fought 3 times. Manny fought 9 times. Floyd rarely fights so he has the stigma of people wanting to see him fight cause he never really does. If pacquiao didn't fight as much as he did he'd pull in much higher numbers. So pacquiao is pulling just as much or more than Floyd while fighting 3 times as much as him in the last 3 years, AND THAT'S NOT AN exaggeration. If Floyd fought as much as manny I doubt he'd get the numbers he did. Thoughts?

Floyd is outselling manny fighting 1/3 of the time. If they had the same number of fights he would outsell manny mainly because HBO would give floyd the better dates since he is the proven draw.

Floyd did 3 mil in 07 in 2 fights. If he fought just twice a year since then he'd easily do 2-2.5 mil without question.
