    john murray being overlooked?

i first thought wow murray is being fed to rios, this is an awful fight for john style-wise but after spending some time watching footage of both guys i think this could potentially be a damn good scrap being completely overshadowed by cotto vs marg 2.

i give murray a decent shot at this actually. rios is an exciting fighter but he's so damn limited (not that murray isn't) but i just can't help look at rios and think this guy is so overrated it's ridiculous. he's a brawler, a good brawler but nothing special.

look at his record, all made for him & in a sense so is murray but murray actually can fight in the pocket & can box well when he chooses.

i disagree with him being a massive underdog & many will laugh but i give him a chance in this fight.

too many are looking at murray losing to mitchell, reality is mitchell gives rios a boxing lesson too before stopping him.

Murray doesn't last more than 3 rounds, I wouldn't be shocked if he's stopped in the first minute.

Huge gulf in class and this will be evident when the fight starts.

Murray doesn't have power or a good chin. Both of which are vital when you have a style like he does. His best attribute is his engine, but that won't matter because he isn't lasting that long.

yes murrays engine is his best asset & imo if he can weather the early storm he has a shot in this. lets not forget how awful rios defence is & the fact he's been heavily floored & hurt by non punchers before due to his wrecklessness.
murray i haven't really seen hurt before except against mitchell who is a damn good fighter with b+ power & i have followed most of murrays fights so not sure what makes you think his chins bad.

Murray couldn't even handle a Kevin Mitchell who had just come of a vey tough loss against Katsidis.

Rios is in a different class from Mitchell imo. Murray is getting stopped early imo.

            Think about it another way.

Ask yourself; What does John Murray do better than Brandon Rios?

            The answer is nothing.

This is Rios-Antillon all over again.

mitchell is a boxer-puncher & imo murray is a better inside fighter than antillion. i truly believe mitchell would thoroughly outbox rios & likely stop him.

rios only knows one way and imo his inside game isn't particularly great, i expect murray to absolutely plaster him with left hooks to the body & uppercuts & make a real go of this.

defeat can make a fighter stronger, losing to mitchell, no shame there. i am not a big fan of murray but i'm not going to say this is a huge mismatch because everyone else is. i see this as a very competitive close fight.

truthfully? his stamina is better, his defence, footwork, combinations & accuracy are all better imo
i'd say his handspeed had a slight edge too.

the latter part maybe true but i believe murray has a better inside game than antillion & is stronger.
antillion has been in way way too many wars, every fight the guys ever had has been a complete war as his face shows lol
