The only way "you can't fight anylonger" is when you get knocked out. Anything other than that is called quitting.
Yeah, like Khan vs. Prescott. That was what I'd call "you can't fight any longer" but what Cotto did was back all the way into the corner, realize he was about to get bulldozed into the dirt and took a knee and quit in order to spare himself a severe drubbing.

Cotto shouldn't have had to quit on his knee, the ref should have stopped it much sooner.
        I agree with this analysis.

He didn't quit like Devon Alexander did, but he did quit to an extent.

Its like when your car runs outta gas and quits on you in the side of the road.

Cotto is to boxing what Pinto's are to the automobile.

A real quitter is someone like Guerrero in that one fight where he had a tiny cut above his eye. There's pics of it online only where they have the doctor open the cut above his eye up even more to make the cut look worse then it really was. It was a small cut above the eye, i'd take a guess and say smaller then an inch was the cut.

Also, I generally don't like fighters like Guerrero and Canelo think they deserve a huge payday against Floyd for not really doing ****.

Margarito had nothing left against Pacquiao for at least 3 or 4 rounds and he didn't quit. Cotto quit.

Exactly... like I said.. if Cotto wanted to really quit.. he would of stayed on his knee until the ref counted to 10. He got up both times, and the corner called it off after the second one.

If he would of taken two knees to get a rest.. finished the 11th and 12th, it would of been called a smart move... but the guy had nothing, and his corner knew it.

Still... he got up and was willing to continue if the corner didn't step in.
