No it's not... cold war ended when Gamboa fought Ponce didn't it?
Arum should take it... JCC would smother him at an unfair weight and get name on his resume

I noticed this in the Chavez vs Manfredo fight. When Max Kellerman mentioned Martinez, the crowd went into a bit of a frenzy, but went completely quiet when Canelo's name was mentioned right after.

Alvarez aint my boy. I think he's a hype job just like Chavez.

if Chavez were a man he'd face his mandatory Sergio Martinez, but we know that won't happen. man Chavez ducked Wolak 3 times.

but Canelo is even a bigger puta because he's ducking Chavez.

neither guys is a top 10 guy but at least Chavez seems to be getting better

If he could only fill 7,000 seats in Mexico, Mayweather might not be as interested anymore. Ticket seller was all he had going for him since he isn't a PPV star.

that's weird, but i'm sure they both still have their big fanbase. either way, chavez needs to fight someone like rubio or martinez, and alvarez needs to fight someone like kirkland or martirosyan. if not, fight each other....

it hasn't quite ended. . . that fight was just golden boy trying to warm up to arum by feeding him a decent named opponent - ponce was a gift and an attempt at an olive branch . . it wasn't exactly a fight where each promotor was taking a 50/50 risk. . . chavez jr/canelo is. . .

DEFINITELY a step in the right direction. . . hopefully this fight can be made, and effectively end the war. . . hopefully it will be a good, two way fight where both fighter's stock goes up, despite the winner. . . hopefully it makes a lot of moeny so both promotors realize the advantage of working together from here on out. .

I still am pretty confident canelo beats chavez. . . he should just fight him at 160. . . alvarez is a beefy ass dude. . . he's more muscular than chavez, but just a good bit shorter. . . canelo is faster, more accurate, just as heavy handed. . . chavez has better stamina and punch resistance (based on how canelo took cotto's punch. . . no, not miguel, JOSE! cotto's brother!) still favor canelo en route to a 116-112 type decision.

id say chavez might have been in with SLIGHTLY better competition. . . zbik being the reason. . .

Real Mexicans don't want to watch the midget fighter anymore.

I guess Solis did damage to Canelo's reputation.

And Canelo asking for a catchweight made him look like a b1tch too.

                      HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
