Canelo's stock is down right now but it will pick up again. The Solis incident made people dislike him because Archi is a humble, soft-spoken people's champion>> No one likes a bully.

IMO, this would be a terrible time for GBP to put Canelo up against someone he'd likely lose to. The public hasn't completely turned on him yet, but a loss would only hurt his marketability right now.

The media made him a star, the media can also turn him into **** ... The guy got in a fight with a light flyweight, that's never going to give a boxer popularity. A lot of people got mad not because he fought outside the ring, but because he was fighting a noticeably smaller guy, so I'm pretty sure people would have reacted different if he had fought against a guy that was his own size.

Boxing is a lot about being fan friendly, about taking the right decisions outside the ring, not just winning. Of course there are some arrogant guys such as Floyd, but he has faced great opposition and has been able to win against all of them (yeah, some controversial decisions, but he still has the undefeated record, and no I don't really like Floyd but he has done some great things during his career) Canelo on the other hand has faced crappy opposition, he has become arrogant outside the ring, and now he beat up a guy 40 pounds lighter than him ... that's never going to get you positive results .
