Why not jump at the chance to beat the living **** out of the guy who supposedly "had plaster" and tried to "take your health"?

Why not jump at the chance to permanently mess up the one guy that was responsible for your career taking a nose dive?
Why not jump at the opportunity to beat the man who gave you your first loss?

    Tell me....
Permanently injuring someone is not what this sport is about. And Cotto is a better person than that. Hence why he said that if the NYSAC does not approve Margarito to fight everyone should respect that including himself and his camp, Arum and Top Rank, Margarito and his camp and all of the fans including the internet commandos like you.

Is Cotto posturing? Possibly, but I hope he is not. If the NYSAC does not approve Margarito to fight that means that he is not 100%. I don't think that Cotto would want to go into a fight against someone that is not at their best. Cotto, I would hope, want to beat him at his best and never deal with him again. No questions about how legit the win was.

Arum's a cancer on boxing but he's no idiot. If this isn't happening in New York then Arum knew that when it was signed. He probably just did it to get Cotto's signature and always planned for the fight to happen elsewhere.

COTTO IS THE MAN!!!!!!! Arum and Margaresto DO NOT deserve this fight. Cotto doesnt need it EVERYONE knows Margaresto used plaster against him so Cotto never truly lost to him. If there is a God, the commission will deny the license and the card will get scrapped

cotto contradicts himself,he says the commision of new york shoud be respected and if they say margarito can't fight other places should accept that, well if thats the case why is he fighting him at all? didn't other states refuse to give margarito a license? why isn't he going by their ruling? why isn't he respecting that ruling?...i don't see the big deal as to where the fight is held,at the end of the day it's just them two in the ring whether it's in arizon, mississippi, new jersey, who cares

Do you know what this wrath might look like and/or manifest itself in? Im curious.

Cotto is within legal limits to decline to fight anywhere else aside from NY per the contract he signed barring some loopholes or fineprint that states otherwise. Considering Cottos time with TR is almost over I would think Arum would try to handle this as peaceably as possible. Arums "wrath" might be bad for business.

Being nice ? Had he tried a little common courtesy in informing Miguel of possible venue changes and ironed it out before falling victim to blind sided questions. He might have avoided some of the egg on his face. Lets face it Arums loosing it. Wrath ? Lets all hope the fights in NYC because if anyone is going to feel a wrath it will be us boxing junkies !!!

I'm just letting you know that I have read a lot and heard a lot about Arum. Don't let that old ***ish man fool you, he is a powerful man who can make life miserable for a fighter, trainer or promoter.

He didn't get to where he is by being nice.

I think that there is a big difference between an athletic comission denying a license because of an illegal act and being medically unfit. We are not talking about Margarito not making money because he cheated--that is old news. We are talking about Margarito not being allowed to fight because it is what is best for his health and the sport.

Hopefully he gets cleared to fight in NY.
