floyd is held to an unfair standard that came from the fact that no one has come close to beating him. some say oscar but we all that fight was 8 rounds to 4 for floyd. some say castillo i say no it was a ugly fight but floyd still won. the guy has never went life or death BECAUSE he is the best of this era. if floyd would have gotten a gift decision like pac the backlash would be FARRRRRRRRRR WORSE..partly because he is black. secondly because he speaks his mind

It did for Pacquaio too. But, although both have enormously high standards set for each other, I think the standards are set higher for Mayweather.
        Agreed............

          This.

This is the first time where Pacquiao didn't have an easier time with a common opponent and the *****s act like the world is coming to an end.

Man, shut the **** up. Castillo won much more clearly and convincingly than Marquez supposedly did against Manny. Outlanded, outworked Floyd by a CLEAR margin, especially in power shots.

media would call it a cherry pick that back fired seeing as how marquez is a lightweight and may a welter weight.

Floyd with one hand, yeah you have a very small point.

However, Floyd gave him a rematch, do you feel Floyd lost the 2nd fight when he had 2 hands? What about the 3rd rematch?

How is Floyd's one hand excuse any different than Pacquiao's leg cramps? And whatever happened in the subsequent fight has no bearing on the first... Castillo outworked, outlanded Floyd by a CLEAR wide margin, especially in power shots and had a much better case for getting the W against Floyd than Marquez does against Pac (in any of their 3 fights). So guys acting like Floyd is unbeatable and has never struggled need to fall back.

Fact is, this is the first instance where Manny didn't blow away a common opponent in a more brutal, more thorough, faster, etc way. So like someone said before, the reaction would be the same as it was when Castillo was really robbed of a W and Floyd got a SD against Oscar.

                  It's just one fight.

Lol Floyd struggled with Hatton and De La Hoya.

He knocked Hatton out, took his 0, and was wiping him out on the scoredcards 88-82, 89-81, 89-81. Yeah he was really struggling.

He beat De La Hoya 8 rounds to 4 at worst.

Floyd used both hands in that fight. That's as much of a bull**** excuse to me as Pacquiao not having worn his "lucky socks" against Morales.
