I think Manny just bought into his own hype. He probably thought it would be an easy night, but he was wrong. Pac is a great fighter and I dont think this fight takes anything away from his career. When a fighter is expected to blow out their competition, and the person who they are facing actually does well and wins rounds people think that they are overrated. It's kinda sad that people always do this.

The bold is completely true, but people only care when it strikes close to home. Don't forget how overrated Martinez was after he stopped his man in 11. Pacman fans are the quickest to criticize, they are. But if they can dish it, they better be prepared to get it back.

Pacquiao should be criticized because of the media/arum/roach acting like he is the one of the greatest boxers of all time. He is way overrated.

I've said this for a long time. He has limited boxing skills.. He is just very fast/strong/usually relentless and a greatly conditioned athlete... however I did not think pacquiao would lose to an older 38 year year old light weight champion named juan manuel marquez in which he clearly did get beat.

I agree, and I am probably one of those who overrated him. One thing I can say for certain, if Mayweather were to fight Pac tomorrow and lose people would say that he was overrated and was a cherry picker. Just to be clear I am not saying Pac could beat Mayweather, although I want to see it to find out. It doesn't matter who it is people will always say someone is overrated when they lose.

Why is everyone saying Marquez is past his prime? I don't think that is the case, I think he is reinvigorated and is looking as good as ever.

I have to disagree he is a good trainer but not the best in the sport. The only good fighter he has is Hopkins.

Floyd clearly doesnt ruined fighters like has been claimed he did against Hatton. JMM learnt from the FLoyd loss, like not to poison himself with his waste products urine and tomake weight better.

Pac is still the best in the world. He didnt become p4pno1 on the basis of one fight, so he wont lose the no1 spot on the basis of one fight, a win at that.

Ok, for one, Marquez fought better than he fought in the first two bouts w/Pacquiao , so AGE had nothing to do with it. He did not fight like a man who's burned out or who's in his decline....he was impressive so give the man his proper credit. Welter or Lightweight, Marquez will always give Pacquiao fits because he's a better technical fighter than Pacquiao. I'm sorry to ruin your "Uh-Huh moment" but it has never been a secret that JMM has Pac's number.
