Exactly, had he fought like 1&2 he would have done WAY better. He needs to take Marquez to war to beat him. There's no other way.

He did fight rather like II, ie. was more wary of being made to miss and getting countered, tried to be smarter and ended up getting caught in between. II and III in the trilogy have more in common than I and II as far as the style in which Manny fought goes.

In their first fight, he was the buzzsaw you're talking about. And, if not for that first round in which they made each-others' acquaintance, Manny would have lost widely.

Marquez is just a nightmare for Pacquiao, whichever way Manny approaches the task.

After rewatching it...your right Marquez won round 8.

Nice uppercut by Marquez at the 30 second mark. Threw combo but shots were picked off, with the exception being the uppercut by Marquez.

25 second mark...Manny answers back. Throws wild combo with a straight left landing and a hook earlier in the combo.

ends the round with both envolved in an exchange in which neither got the better of the other.


Manny wins round 9. This is without me factoring in his ring generalship and how he pressed the action.

Rewatching the fight now:

Round 1: clear first 3 shots were Pac and Marquez had NO significant punches and Pac landed more 11 to JMM 7. - PAC +1

Round 2: Marquez dominated this round. JMM +1

Round 3: Both landed significant punches. I gave the first minute to pac, second minute was JMM but last minute both had significant punches but Pac obviously captured it with the last hard right. PAC +1

Round 4: PAC easily better shots, aggressor and more landed more. Huge right by JMM at the very end though. PAC +1

Round 5: Marquez dominated this round without question again. JMM +1

Round 6: Both had very good shots. Close round to call. Other criteria entered is aggressor, volume, etc Pac +1

Round 7: Marquez had huge punches and pac bleeding out his mouth. JMM +1

Round 8: JMM had significant shots. right down the middle, hard straight right, counters and answers for each punch. JMM +1

Round 9: HUGE ROUND for both but you easily have to give that to PAC. HUGE shots by PAC and you can tell from the trainers at the end of the round that PAC had it and BERSTAIN was yelling don't go to the ropes. PAC +1

Round 10: JMM better punches got PAC in the exchanges. **head butt cuts pacs right eye** Marquez didn't take it too him after. JMM +1

Round 11: PAC had the more significant punches and Marquez didn't really have anything significant to sway the round. More landed punches and harder punches by PAC. PAC +1

Round 12: JMM just didn't do **** to try to take the round. The only significant punch was by PAC. PAC +1


7-5 PAC. Could have been easily 6-6 DRAW or 7-5 Marquez for rounds 6 or 11.

I think PAC didn't raise his hands because JMM made it to the 12 and that's why he was down and wasn't impressed with his performance.

Somebody, anybody, PLEASE!!! tell me WHAT rounds did manny shine in????? Even the FEW rounds he won fair, he was still being out classed. There were a lot of rounds were manny wasnt doing anything, n they still gave him the round. I kept sayin they finna robbed the **** outta this dude n I was even going for pacman but I aint sugar coatin **** for him, top rank paid everybody even stewert, bradly looked like **** againts a 40 year old n arum told his corner (which is owned by top rank) to stop the fight, not cuz of getting beat but cuz he was makin bradley look bad. NOBODY said nothin bradley was gettin hit flush with left hands. Yall better wake up people bradley was suppose to look great in there n then fight manny, BUT now since manny got his ass beat, top rank finna go straight for the money team, n cash out now, watch how fast this fight gets made.
