Even Dan Rafael, who is not exactly a Pac fan, said in an interview on ESPN that he and the scribes around him, thought that the fight was a draw, although his own unofficial scorecard had Pac winning by 7/5.
This. I felt it was a close fight watching it..people expected more from pac and because there was no ko or complete domination by pac they call foul.

      • I added the draw option, sorry for those who didn't get to vote draw originally.

        • I'm done with this sport. I feel just like Marquez. I was ecstatic during the first round to see him put on a masterclass, and continue for twelve rounds. Manny looked amateurish, out of control, and insecure in there. Marquez controlled the entirety of the fight and was jobbed, again.

          Dammit.

          I'm done with this ****...

          • pure boxers always get the boxer-puncher to box with them.

that's why pure boxers usually owns boxer-puncher types.

roach did good in making pac more of a boxer-puncher against much bigger (and slower) guys.

but when pac fights boxer types he need to be more of a workrate/pressure type fighter.

that in and out **** just gives the boxer more chances to time him coming in.

              No.

You watch it in super slow motion and write down every single punch landed and post it here.

Then I will watch it in super slow motion and see if your script is accurate.

Otherwise, I'll trust what my eyes have seen in real time, not some "oh, the punches were so lazer fast" matrix bollocks you've dreamed up to dig "idol" out of a hole.

              Thanks, come again.

Maybe/Maybe not, but what I say is definitely true, that is, even with less aggression from Manny he was still ahead of the stats. Looking at the face of Marquez it was also evident that Pacquiao landed many harder punches.

Just like every title fight, the champion always gets the advantage in judges eyes and the challenger needs to step up and be the man and take the fight to the champion. But such was not the case for Marquez especially in the later rounds. I guess Pacquiao fought just like what a defending champion does instead of his usual aggressive game plan, it wasn't that effective but stats don't lie and he still won that bout. Just like I said the live audience which was majorly Mexican magnified the robbed thing instead of looking at the actual stats.

                • Anybody else interested in another JMM-Mp fight?

Im not really, imo it will be much of the same with people on the manny juice, especially the people that matter, or people that stand to line their pockets with the mega fight with mayweather.

Rather, i would like to see Marquez put on a boxing clinic against Khan. Anybody else?

                  • I agree, I'd rather see him whoop Khan. But I think Arum's plan all along is to have a fourth fight.

                    • It was good advice from Nacho. He was worried JMM would press too much and risk being knocked down, effectively giving the judges an obvious pass to award it to Pac. He felt they were ahead (which in reality they were) so I agree with that.
